Credit Suisse raises Genting Singapore (G13.SG) target to $2.65 vs $1.68, implying 16% potential upside, keeps Outperform, according to Dow Jones.
Credit Suisse says company’s 3Q10 on-quarter drop in revenue, earnings following record 2Q10 (boosted by favourable luck) was no surprise, with Sentosa revenue down 15% on-quarter, EBITDA down to $347 million vs 2Q’s $503 million.
Lowers FY10 net profit by 52% to reflect translation loss of $339 million on U.K. disposal but raises FY11-FY12 net profit by 32%-37% “as we believe strong tourist arrivals, a robust economy, active property market and rising stock market will likely translate into stronger casino revenues.”
Adds, company provides high beta, liquid exposure to Singapore tourism, potential catalysts include seasonally strong results for next two quarters, potential licensing of junkets in 2011. Says alternatively, parent Genting (3182.KU) provides cheaper exposure to Genting Singapore.
Shares off 7.0% at $2.12.

yes, roger ! young man. blaze87.... i also admire your spirit of the young man.... cheong alot.... like GAR..... i follow you too in a way......
but the secret is i only got interested in stock when I got genting at 1.28 and sold too quickly ..... hence i get hook..buy and sell...lost some money along the way....
reading charts from chart nexus is not very good trying to analysis the market (need parameters......) to realise it is a big new world of learning (like starting from ABC) out there in the market ..... lots of lessons..... lots of small talks..... very few honest ones.....
i am following BT ..... because he promise to start a course....another young man - Daniel.... seems like a good guy with a big heart...... when you listen to his background.... like drama like that so touching leh....also do not mind paying him to teach me a few tricks on charting..... stock market u can make money but exercise some technical analysis help us..... otherwise we are no diff from auntie or uncle..... if they are rich never mind up or down..... bet on blue chips can be better than bank interest rates.

however i have open positions at 2.15. o well just hold and tough it out. i mean if we keep entering and exiting, commission goes to brokerage. i think for small lot holders, not worth to keep exiting and entering, the cost of transaction higher than the savings. thats me la my opinion. which is why i not planning to sell my GHK, in out in out, will incur comm 4 times, forex 4 times. so cannot do it so frequently. haha 1 BT take break, another daniel comes along. epliew, we ought to reflect why we are depending on them so much. if they can do it, so can we!

epliew .. i feel that the fastest way to lose money is to try and chase the swing and see volume buy/sell trade .. cause you will try to catch the band wave .. and fall .. hard.. lets say u got only captial for 10 lots.. u need it to go up at least 0.02 in order to cover comission+ make some kopi money... 200 dollars - 140 in commission and taxes both way... However, BB only need 0.01 to earn ..0.01 x 1m = 100k .. - comission and stuff = still proft of about 60k .... think about it.... chasing the buy volume UP trend.. means you buy.. and suddenly u holding out for +0.02 or 0.03.. it touches it.. but ur queueing and the BB releases it at a 0.01 profit.. market flooded.. sell down .. panic... at best u sell with the BB 0.01+ lose kopi money.. at worst.. market react adversely.. panic selling .. u stuck ....
I feel that we shouldn't chase the buying or selling volume.. it's meaningless.. ask any citibank or merill lynch trader.... or Poems for that matter.. hardly people are recommende to go for tick by tick or min/second charting... it's dangerous and the fastest way to lose money.. look at least 4hrs- 1day intraday trend chart... and look at it overall.. for instance .. i told you that it's gonna go down abit more today before it bottoms out.. but people try to catch the +- 2 pip spread.. and they get burnt.. hard and fast.. You want to SCALP and SCALP the market.. you better be damn freakin good.. set your stop loss to +-3% and trailing stops to 1 or 2 of profit... don't get caught pants down .. i read the forum .. so many of you no trailing stops.. no stop loss... sure kana burn one.. you have to let a bad trade go no matter how much it sucks.. cause if it snowballs downwards.. ur screwed.. The only time you shouldn't put a stop loss is NEVER... Set it.. 3 % .. get out of there.. rule of thumb... Don't be like an auntie i know(not related).. play the stock market.. don't want to let it go .. die also don't want... say will go up .HOPE AND HOPE ..and then go bankrupt.. borrow money ... and say no money to even buy food for kids and take bus.. YOU WANT TO PLAY SCALPING.. LEARN TO STOP LOSS!!!!!!
That's not to say dun look at the buying or selling volume intra day . look at it to know where the general direction of the market is going.. like for instance.. 2 days buy volume higher then sell volume = accumulating (can see from accumulation/distribution chart) .. No need to post BUY UP BUY UP every few minutes.. SELL DOWN SELL DOWN every 5 seconds... no one can scalp like that.. at least no one that i know off even when i intern with these traders... Can go ask bullish tempo what he thinks of this...
