Since last March, pple around me stop calling me an amataur(spelling) investor but a gambler because of NOL. On the second opening bell after the massive payout, I started buying NOL and never look back. I said it is worth at least $3.  But all broking house said 1.7, 1.2.

Why ?? a 3b $ company can make 900M profit then Singtel need to make 13b last year. Why don't listen to report ? (U should actually, but not this one).  1 brokage hse even say it will make a loss in 2008 in June 2006. I was wondering what tools he/she use....a crystal ball ?

30% float is not very liquid. Not to mention, some juicy big boy tried to wrest control of her at $4.5 (before massive payout) so maybe $3.6 equ.

A few week back BTimes reminded me that for the 9month, NOL make $333M...Be it USD or SGD...it is very very exciting.

And thank you, NOL, for turning my profilio from blue to utlra blue. As blue as Neptune - the King of Atlantis. I even love her div.

Anyway, let snap out of this......it may goes back to $2 (joking, this stock just won the Roller-Coaster Award for 2006) by month end.

What NOL need now is a many Ports...A trading halt these days for NOL is also very exciting because from what I see, the secret is out.

R they still compliant to Rule 704 ?

 

All I can say is 'bloody hell' (pardon my language). All of you know how it feels like selling out and it jumps so much right after it. *blame it on my own timing* still...*&^*(&  *sigh* such is life, such is market.

 

NOL is on a strong uptrend supported by large volumes.

 

Agree with shplayer, that what I thought as well.

 

Think they may announce the shipping REIT together with the FY06 results. Otherwise, there is no other reason to justify the price surge......certainly, I dont see how the results will be that fantasyic...look at their monthly periodic reports.......not that great.



Also, the recently announced ventures in Vietnam and India will not have that immediate an impact.

 

no news here.... seem to be some form of speculation...
perhaps not cuz the volumes is picking up and result is coming soon...
look like the result should be not too bad.

YongJiu, perhaps you are the one who did THE right thing by holding it. Better profit today. My heart cannot take it anymore for its yoyo movement, that's why I bailed out. So now that it cheonged before CNY (instead of aft CNY), you get a bigger anypow! Lucky you. Gongxi Fa Cai!!

 

NOL cheong quite a bit today. Anybody knows whats happening ? Perhaps its going to report its earnings..

YongJiu, just curious, did you get out of NOL? Looks like it's tumbling down. I took my remiser's advice and got out this morning at 2.96. Not the best price but count myself lucky. It's 2.88 when I post this.

 

I normally do not ask my remiser anything becos I trade online (knowing that he hardly earns any commission from my online trades). But I was too curious about NOL that I asked for his view, as quoted below:



" there is a general feeling that market may take a dip near the new year or after the new year.it is good to take profit when make enough."

On the Full year result, gut feel is it won't be beating analysts' expectation and it's almost 2 weeks after CNY. I might sell some to realise profit and keep some as a 'gamble'. Will try to find their past 3 qtrs result to see if it is worthwhile to keep.

 

The provisional dates for Full Year Results 2006 is on the 27 February 2007 so is like 3 week toward the big day....

do you think ppl react bit fast or slow if there is any internal good news?

 

YongJiu, NOL up by another 10c at opening. Hooray hooray. Wander when it this momentum stops. Still haven't found any reports that support this upward movement yet. Pls let me know if you have it.

 

Obvious play by big boys today. Large surge in price was not detected by TA charts at all.
