SINGAPORE, March 12 (Reuters) - Singapore''s Neptune Orient
Lines , the world''s eighth-biggest container shipping
firm, has set up a $300 million credit facility for general
corporate needs, sources close to the deal said on Monday.

The seven-year loan is structured as a revolving credit for
the first three years and will then convert into a term loan for
last four years, a banker told Reuters.

Wonder why they need so much money for?

in some way the shipping industry never decline in the first price,
only stock price decline for last yrs, so there is no industry recovering as well.

Actually I don't understand how NOL can climb and sustain at such high level. It didn't announce stellar results, crude oil is slowing crippling upwards therefore the is downward pressure on it's margin, freight rate is supposed to be climbing slightly but overall supply has also increased.  Not that I don't want it to climb, I'm just puzzled. Can anyone enlighten, please, thank you.

"NOL is trading ahead of its fundamentals as there is still risk of industry oversupply in 2007-2008," said Deutsche Bank analyst Sam Lee who lowered his rating to "sell" from "hold", but raised his price target to $2.60 from $1.85.

Credit Suisse downgraded its rating to "neutral" from "outperform" and lowered its price target to $3.10 from $3.20 on limited share price upside after a recent surge, adding that the price already reflects assumptions on rising freight rates.

I think you have misunderstood me.

I am also of the opinion that it shouldn't go down to $1.70 - $1.80 (as posted by sarahlkh).  That's why I said it'll be oversold (if it really goes down to those prices).  To me, it's ridiculous for NOL to go down to $1.70 - $1.80, unless they have a big catastrophe with their ships.
