STX OSV Divestment Plans Not Dilutive - CIMB

STX OSV Holdings' (MS7.SG) plans to sell a 17.3% stake in itself are not dilutive, although it remains to be seen whether the sale will be at a discount to the current trading price, CIMB says. The firm's South Korean parent STX Group said Friday the deal, worth about KRW260 billion, might happen after mid-May. " We remain neutral on the news. The sale is not dilutive, though the method of the sale has not been decided," the house says, noting " the next concern is whether the secondary sale will be held at a discount to the current trading price." It says the stock's valuation is cheap at 8X 2012 P/E, compared with small mid-cap industrials' five-year mean of 11X. " We also deem it as the best OSV yard to own when revival of investment in offshore assets resumes," CIMB adds, keeping a Neutral rating and a S$1.60 target price, pending a review. Shares are down 3.3% at S$1.18.

HMM but mentioned in a deal worth 260 nillion won...they wouldnt mention such if they have no idea?

also , i think they see the shares as being worth much more that the previous ipo px...remember that time mkt sentiments weak and they priced it at lower end.... dont think they will want to sell low this time round...

anyway..imho ni.

That is why it is called market. Market buy and sell is irrational to decipher. Why people to to Super Market to buy 7 days old fish at higher price when they can go to Pasir Panjang Fish market to buy FRESH fish at lower price?

these are shares that should haf been sold earlier on   during the first ipo remeber...so is there a dilution.?considering this is stx stake..nothing to do with stx osv?they are selling their stake in stx osv...of course, they would want to sell at a dhigher px.... dont think the px will drop . more like people will rush in to chase on Monday?

i hope i am rite as i am vested.

STX OSV may drip a little on Mon 25 April due to the news that STX Gp is considering selling additional 20% stake in STX OSV-represent a potential dilution of shares, worth buying on pull back..see our Biosensor when announced placement dropped < $1,now shot back to $1.31.

Co has not decided on the method of sale-pte placements or maybe offer to existing shareholders like rights issue to avoid dilution in shares

Hi jamesng and to tea444, and to those concern,

That is the thing...the px will be pushed up near to the ipo and then they can ask for all higher px (less discount.... more attractive.), but right now...i think people will chase seeing how they plan to raise so much more on so little... px shd be around double the first ipo... if just looking at the maths....

That is the thing, teeth53: on sharing my thot, maths..ya, that true, true. (IPO mgr will paint a robust picture  wanting retailer to believe in).

BBs player think others wise....so has had to respect others bigger players, then the biggest player are IPO boys.

tea444u      ( Date: 23-Apr-2011 21:58) Posted:

hi james...so if one is holding would it be wiser to wait for nearer to ipo to sell at a better px perhaps?

jamesng      ( Date: 23-Apr-2011 19:57) Posted:

Looking at the maths, it will be $1.35...but nearer to the time when more contracts are awarded, perhaps they  can sell for higher price.......

Got to respect the market, on how players play...(It is not always market is right nor it's wrong.)
