15:01:05 2.060 (A) Signal from willing buyer bot up - Vol-6,000,000 (A)

Dated Friday Nov 19. Gent SP finished at $2.04c, after trading to a high of $2.09c and a low of $2.03c
Genting SP    2.070 2.040c -0.010c -0.5% on volume of 107,521,000 changed hands

While information is always distinctively late and trading always coming in fast and ferocious at the fore. Forming very own decision wisely is as difficult as finding a pin in the ocean. (To each it own, hope U chose d right choice...Happy trading..Ya.)

Genting SP Open-$2.09c. Closed-$2.10c +0.01c +0.5% on Vol-157,798,000

The starting at low px is over (started Nov 12, last Fri with a element of some surprise), if not opening at buyer px - force buyers to take margin (narrow trading band) and go on profit taking (I mean BBs taking profit) and thus allowing smaller players to buy at higher px and await to sell higher high, for 2 cent gain - Co's small boy bot small volume. BBs can take profit even at half a cent.

teeth53 - just giving my personnal opinion, as there r as many others may have alot to differentiate it as well.

epliew wrote: oversold region reached ?

Dated: 15-Nov (Mon), 3rd day of this week is a Hari Raya Haji, a public holiday)

Down .04 cents or -1.9% lower, it ended at $2.09ct on total volume of 266,166,000 million shares changed hands.

This 4 trading days with a break on Wednesday, dun seem to be working in flavour for stablizing, rather good opportunities again for BBs to do their bidding, either opening at lower px, then force buyers to buy up, if not opening at buyer px - force buyers to take margin and go on profit taking (allowing smaller players to buy at higher px and await to sell higher high)

After all, new target is set (Investment Target Price now $2.53 to $2.90). It just a target set by them.)

Just sharing my personnal opinion.  oversold region reached ? (for investment - not yet, punting/speculation - ok)

This is a very special stock.

Remember recently, this was the only stock that kept on rising and rising

while all other stocks are falling like pebbles?

Although there are no dividends to talk about, a casino business is good money.

As long as people love gambling, there is a high chance of it

being profitable and thus eventually giving out a dividend.

For long-term holders (eg. 15-20 years),

they can look forward to dividends every year.

And during times of great adversity (downtrends),

they can dwell their thoughts on the dividends.

Thus, in those very trying times,

they will at least have something to fall back on

to tide them over their transient miseries... Smiley

150 % is based on 0.85 cents or 1.26 before the cheong ?

I could have miss out but I do not see any stock that gain

150% within a 10 mths period. How do you measure a

 share px? Fundamentals or Speculation?

As early as Feb / Mar 2010, This counter has been trading at 0.85c - 0.95c and now after hitting a high of $2.38c recently.

Almost 150% gain.in within 10 mths. It went on profit taking to closed of at $2.04cents. (look like is going to revisit below $2/-)

Captial gain (Yes) agree, after all they have to pay off their huge $6.5b debt to creditors for an agreement of no dividend is agreed upon

before considering to pay dividend to share holders

hi expert, from the recent report, can you see where the 1 Billions target is reached in 9 months ?

teeth53      ( Date: 22-Nov-2010 09:03) Posted:

S$6.5 billion is what has been mentioned by ST paper (news) to built RWS and some forumers mentioned - 15 years got no dividends distribution to share holders.

The amount RWS every Q x 4 per year may take as many as 6.5 years to pay back, let assume every year, 1 billion is return plus with interest.

To return equity to share holders, the faster way is to rise fund where all the reason, more to return bank loan, just like rising fund by ipo for new companies tapping public fund.

On this note - Genting sp  boss may do so when Genting SP px hit a high.

indeed a bit sad for GK goh.....

iPunter      ( Date: 21-Nov-2010 12:54) Posted:

You are right.

Holding is very easy to say, but when the time comes, there is much real sadness and misery.

Usually, for those who have lost money (price went down), they will still hold and hold,

because they have faith that the price will come up again in future.

But the problem is, when the price later came up for them to break even,

they still will not want to sell...

It's not so easy to play stocks!... Smiley

The only share I hold for more than 15years is GK Goh which I bought at 1.88(bought around 1992-1995 bull run, that time Malaysia companies still traded at OTC). After 15 years I still lost 1.28 per share(60cts now).

After that I never trade "long-term" anymore. i.e must cut loss when u have to, and when the amount loss is still tolerable.

No Method is a proven method.

Just because it works on someone does not mean it works anytime anyway

Right Method is

Know the company and its potential, and Its VALUE.

Know the economy well.

Knowledge Knowledge and Experience.

Average Up??? 2007 Cosco Same Time this year Oct to Nov, climb climb climb to $8.00 ... Sudden Death.

Averaging up has actually been proven by the Italian Nicolas Darvas

to be an effective investing method many years ago.

For him, as prices kept on rising and rising,

Darvas kept on buying more and more, heavily.

In the end, he became very rich,

                     With his averaging-up method,

he made millions in the stock market.  Smiley
