SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)--Shares of dry-bulk shipper Mercator Lines (Singapore) Ltd. (EE6.SG) opened at S$0.76 on their debut on the Singapore Exchange Friday, the same level as the initial public offering price.

Mercator offered 270.2 million shares, comprising 259.3 million shares for institutions and 10.8 million shares for the public at S$0.76 each, the lower end of an indicative range of S$0.76-S$0.94.

Mercator plans to use the proceeds to buy vessels and invest in maritime companies.

Mercator is the Singapore unit of Indian shipping firm Mercator Lines Ltd.

Bought some mercator IPOs and eventually got half of what I've bought. Anyone out there able to advise how is it going to be like during trading on friday? scary mannn....
