I have various reasons to suspect Robert?s credibility:

  1. His max entry was 0.90c and min entry was at 0.518. This shows he has lots of money and just buying to enhance the confident of the investers. Essentially, he just pumps his saving or spare money into his stock.
  2. One time he affected the market sentiment with his statements, I have this example. Before the first Qtr result was announced, (believe in January), The Business Times analyst interviewed him. During this interview, he has mentioned that he would increase his stake in the company by making aggressive open market purchase after the results are announced. After this statement, most of the investors were confused and thought the Qtrly results would be bad which may result stock price tumbling. Finally 1st qtr result declared with 22% surge in profit.
  3. the stock was initially started to be listed in SGX in October 2006 but at the final day of balloting, the listing was revoked, the reason given ?bad market sentiment?. Later he decided to list the stock in SGX (December 2006) with reduced IPO price, which he claimed, undermined the value of the company?
  4. When the second qtr result announced with bad result, the stock price tumbled in next day trading but he bought the shares for few days. However, 2 weeks later he stopped purchasing. Apparently, the price started moving from 0.60 to 0.70. He has thrown a message the company is expecting a poor 3-qtr result. Once again, price tumbled, he bought few thousand lots stating from second day.
  5. Two positive credibly: When the stock started moving up with a low volume, he saved the future investors in loosing hefty money by informing the market at the right time (with the expected poor performance in 3qtr). He also donated 100K for Singapore charity (believe duck race?). That is a good part on this charity attitude.
  6. Initially JP Morgan compared Chemoil?s business model is similar to OLAM. I will question this. The OLAM management is very strong and very aggressive management. They have sustainable business model.
  7. Good part (Not sure?); Temasek has invested about 5% in this company with IPO prices (0.45C).
  8. J.P. Morgan (S.E.A.) Limited and UBS AG, acting through its business group, UBS Investment Bank, sponsored the initial public offering of the Company?s shares. Now JP Morgan removed Chemoil from its Asia coverage. May be they know something, which we small investors would not know? I would not invest in this company in 1 to 2 years. May be later the company shows consistent credible results, I may consider to buy. Sorry this my person view only

of course I know how much he bought since the price is at 2.00 level...

just that, his pocket is not as deep as other.. anyway, it might be a good idea to pump in some money at OSIM for some technical rebound, but for long term, can forget it ..

with us$ falling, bad for investing in us$ denominated shares.

simple eg at us$0.475, xchg rate 1.52 => each shr costs u S$0.722 and u bought

if xchg rate falls further to 1.50 xchg rate but shr px stays the same at us$0.475=>  now shr you own is worth $0.7125

at xchg rate 1.48 => shr is worth $0.703

so u can see with the shr px staying the same, you already incurred xchg loss if you sell the shr at the same px.

Think he went in today.....

Stay clear for the moment. Price not likely to move however as it's currently in a downtrend.....still looking at it hitting the 40 cents level in the upcoming days. Noted that JP Morgan has removed this stock from it's Asia market focus list and it's been downgraded by several broking houses. The derivative losses might just surprise the market. We wouldn't know until the results are out. Huge volume driving this counter lower for the past 2 days doesn't bode well....

Besides, the interest rate factor is no longer in play. Market might start to trend south soon....
