Anyone has any comment on whether this is a good/bad for the stock ?
Technically, the chart is also beautiful...
I can 'foresee' many stocks will rise in the weeks ahead...
I read from sgx announcement that company declared dividend of 3+5=8cents less tax plus special rights divvy 25cents less tax ( or net special Rights dividend of 20.5cents that can be used to pay for 1:10 Rights issues at issued price of S$2.05)
could any FA person be able to help advise and comment on this divvy and Rights and the health of Wing Tai?
Wing Tai on Wednesday said strong luxury home sales helped triple its full-year net profit, but saw ongoing turmoil in financial markets hurting business.
Wing Tai Chairman Cheng Wai Keung said that property sales have slowed because of the turbulence in world financial markets caused by the U.S. subprime mortgage sector meltdown.
He said the turmoil has hurt investor appetite for real estate and would moderate new property launches.
"If we feel that the market is slow, there is no point pushing (property sales) as this would lead to people backing out later," Cheng told a briefing.
Cheng said he believed that the slowdown in property sales was temporary.
"We see more caution but the property cycle is still in a growth stage and I don't see panic."
The company said that it would continue to expand its overseas business, which accounted for about 16% of revenue in the previous financial year.
At this point in time, TA people will love Wing Tai.
This is because it just bounced off the top of the channel and has weakened since (truly in accordance with TA 'phenomena').
If it does not penetrate tha channel top in the coming days/week as the market rallies, it is one sign of weakening..

Hi, Wing Tai loves to swing these few days... extreme high immediately followed by extreme low and vise versa.
Technically and fundamentally looks good. Can somebody advise if there are other things we need to know about this crazy counter ?
Thanks,

yah. 446 lots at 3.96.
dang, dow is down 108 pts now. gonna be panicked rush for exits tmrw. sigh.
Thanks elfin.
You meant that 303+143=446 lots done at $3.96 ? Strong support is at $3.50.
sporeguy,
info requested:
ave traded size: 9.6 lots.
weighted ave px: 3.8738.
sold to buyer: 1,141 lots. bought from seller: 935 lots.
most trades done at 3.96 (total of 69 trades transacted, 303 lots sold to buyer, 143 bought fr seller). next most frequent trade at 3.78. 28 trades there. 58 sold to buyer, 73 lots bought from seller.
your panic selling occurred at 3.72 and below.
As for the anomaly: $3.38 shows 6 trades transacted, 2lots sold to buyer, 13 lots bought from seller. lkg at time and price of the sale, the mistake (or more like panic) was by one seller: 40 lots in all sold between 15:54:11 to 15:55:12. He sold down the quotes between 3.50 to 3.38, hence the sudden drop.
total vol transacted was 2,422 lots. dun think 40 lots will scare the market that much lah...all retail sizes of 1, 2, 5 lots. lucky ppl who picked it up...
Can anyone get info regarding the most common price that is transacted or the median price ? This will reflect whether someone is trying to frighten the market !
