mmm...not a very satifying finish. Lots of profit taking sits in. Tomorrow may drop further if the selling still persist. I am sitting tight and see the action!
SPC has completed its pennant formation.
In our previous article, we have mentioned that SPC needs a rest and price would retrace to an immediate support of "Potential support zone at $4.69-$4.72".
During this resting, SPC made a low of $4.76.
Now, let's look at the technical picture again and see how far price can travel after it broke above the top resistance line of the pennant.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
$5.05 now!!
Hurray.

Is keppel buying again???
Hit $5.00 already! Congratulation to all vested....
With $350 dividends per lot coming in 10 days time, I believe sellers will be more reluctant to let go now. Should move above $5 next week. Cheers!!
Is it show time today? Just 4¢ away from $5.00.
petrol up by 10c! Looking good comparing price from last year charts. $5.50 should be realistic if oil moves towards $70 a barrel.
just watching this baby.... no worries.. it gona go pass 5.00 for sure.. just a matter of time...
Another Scooby Dooby Doooo day!
Best time to bet is when it is $5.00. Goes up 1 point by 5¢ or drop 1 point by 2¢. So either you win 5 or lose 2!!!
should not be a problem to cross the $5 mark.
Lets hope it passes the $5.00 mark very very soon. And another 20 points jump, comes $6.00...hahaha! Please all pray to Tee Kong...
Scooby dooby doooooo!!!!!!!!!!
hold. possible to hit $5 (not today tho). have been seeing large lot buy up yesterday. today's trades all retail only; not interesting yet. wait for 1130 am.
win liao lo.... closed at 4.82 yesterday and open at 4.90, cheong ar!!!!
vested 8 lots @ 4.76 last two weeks , and queue to sell 4 lots at max bid @5.05...well just queue for fun....
oil stocks will not let you down.. but quite sad to hear that SPC shares buy back 8 millions between price of 4.32 to 4.44 ... such a strong base down there...
idesa168,
Yes, you may be right...in my estimates, I like to err on the side of caution.
So, if a conservative estimate is still attractive, then, a more bullish estimate will be compelling.
Shplayer,
I am looking at the higher end of your estimate for FY2007. Reason being last yr, the refinery was closed for maintenace and hence lost of income. plus this yr, we will see Oyang contirbuting 6,000 bpd onto 2,540 bpd from Kekap currently and adding 10% more for new discovery. All in all, we hope to see this fuel up in 2007 and pushing price higher. Even at 7.45X as your est indicated, it is still not demanding compares to most of other STI index stock, avg 17-19X.
With all these in the pipeline, it needs now is the market optimistic outlook for this counter. Also Keppel Corp had just perchase 1,7500,000 shares from open mkt. Does this indicate that the Mother Company is expecting flying colours from her baby? Your guess is as good as mine.
idesa168,
FY 2006 eps was 55+cts....but remember, it included some writedowns of upstream activities and unrealisable inventory.
At this point, my estimate for FY2007 is between 60-70 cts eps. At 60 cts and current price of $4.82, strip away the 35cts divvy....price is $4.47, P/E is 7.45X........
This counter is getting more and more interesting as it gets nearer to 27 April.
Shplyer, do you thinking SPC is over stretch at this price? It;s hard to find a blue chip with a single digit PE below 9. So far there are only 5 counters in STI index that trades with similar or below SPC's PE of 8.7 times.
