Rights issue for this company is definately a good news, they are not in trouble they have new products in pipeline, extra cash will make them more profitable, they are about to report first profit, they are not relying on consumer confidence (making die-die must use product), yesterday heard from CNBC some guru there said life-sciences and tech are the favourite, hence NASDQ cheong yesterday, shortist and lemings created the best opportunity to buy more, look at the chart over the last year how does this share behave when everyone is panic selling? Up Bukit Batok Hill. Slow not very steep but sure and steady. Make your own conclusion.

It is difficult to say that the stock market will always move in the same direction given the same medicine e.g rights issue, M&A. Many times it has shown to do the opposite. Last year most m&a received little support. Some rights swam and some rights drown.
if they announce rights or share placements wont the value drop?
all the counters are reacting to the overnight loss in the US. nothing to do with bad news coming. if they announce rights or share placements, it would be seen as a positive.

why you like to scare investors?You should walk the talk and short this counter and dun run to bukit timah hill at the first sign of trouble.

They are not desparate with cash flow, they can pay off bond but leave them very little cash to spend, so waiting for the right moment they will launch a scheme to raise money and get rid of the bond, likely to be rights issue or sell more shares. When the scheme is here with reasonable price, there will be a lot of take-ups and will shine again. Still holding on despite recent correction. You will see it is still holding quite well with good support. Once the profit is announced you can reap the reward more than what the recent correction. BIG is still very interesting ..... i think tat the coming price movement will very much depends on how BIG settle the bonds due in Nov.... which is very soon ... i think annoucment should be anytime.
Me is eager to see how BIG will do next .. but for now .. i'm not putting more money into BIG especially when you still need to wait for 2 quarters(6 months) before you "may" see some lights .... A lot of thing can happen during this time frame .... H1N1 can get worse lah etc .... so i choose to be cautious.
Anyway, each to his own trading style. Cheers .... Hope everyone will make money.
