Ya, It seems like NOL always touches the $3 support and bounces up. You might want to wait for it to move up before u decide the direction.. Now is unclear as it sits on the support.. it can either break down.. or move up...

can any one share what is the current support for NOL now?

It seems like touching 3.01 every time then move up leh

The fundemental of this company is solid right?

NOL seems to have defied "gravity"..Most other stocks drop, this 1 can go up. Strange isn't it? 

 

luckily never short this at 3.18 yest....upon heard tat news...*phew*..nowadays good news...stock go all way down...bad news..stock went way up. shitz

 

Based on the Straits Times today, thot they reported no deal for now?  Then how come the counter still traded with price range as if there is good news coming? Yesterday' s closing very manipulative! So trade with care. I am waiting for it to come down to less than 2.88. Currently not vested.

 

Maybe insider news that it closed so high... all the shipping down today except this stock.. something is going on..

 

I have seen an article on CNN Money mentioning about TUI-NOL story.  It mentioned that TUI will be holding an EGM  to decide to merge Hapag-Lloyd unit fully into TUI. Currently, it is a subsidy of TUI.

A few minor stakeholders are against such move, as the TUI-NOL story is about the merger of Hapag-Lloyd and NOL.....actually.

Anyway, the next two week will be quite interesting......600Lots today at closing bell with a 10cts premium. Why ??

 

Baltic Dry Index has recovered 50% from its plunge from November 2007. Freight charges is climbing up.

 

Wow, close high today... How about tmr?

 

It look more like a trap for NOL move today for me. Volume too thin for the rise leh....

Waiting for it to bottom, TP $ 2.65 ~ $2.85.

NOL broke out of short term downtrend yesterday. Can it cheong further now?

 

The company said in a statement on Monday that its shipping arm APL carried the equivalent of 289,400 forty-foot containers on its ships in that period.

The average revenue on each container carried by the firm rose 17 per cent to US$2,989, from US$2,562 in the same period a year ago. -- REUTERS

 

 

 

CIMB upgrades NOL to Neutral from Underperform, hikes target price to $4.50 from $3.30. Says in note recent FY07 results beat expectations due to higher-than-expected container volumes, rates. Recent share price correction means downside now limited.

"If NOL continues to outperform expectations, the market will be forced to reassess its negativity." Notes company says it will take active role in industry consolidation, says prospect of corporate action could boost shares, "M&A potential may provide fillip".

JP Morgan downgrades NOL to Underweight from Neutral, slashes target to $2.70 from $5.50. Recent FY07 results were good but FY08 outlook challenging.

"While management is confident the short sea trade will help core income, we are concerned about the declining trade environment in the Trans-Pacific route." Adds, company's falling utilization a worrying sign; now at lowest level since 1Q05. As well, "we are neutral regarding persistent unconfirmed speculation about a merger with Hapag Lloyd as we believe the downside in the near term would overwhelm the long-term potential."

 

Likely double bottom....
