HI Bullrun,
Ok, finally sat down to crunch the figures.
These assumptions were made:
1H 07 Production : 27,000 MT
Ave SP : $3,500 (based on 1Q 07 rubber prices, think it is conservative)
1H 07 eps - 1.02cts
NAV @ 30 Jun 07 - 12.79 cts
Again, this is just an estimate.....alot depends on 2Q 07 rubber prices.
However, if you refer to GMG FY06 presentation slides, the outlook for rubber prices is expected to be firm due to supply constraints.
By the way, there was a change in SGX rules for small caps companies...they have to make quarterly result announcements....do you know when it will come in effect.....I remember it to be in 2007......from 2nd half?
Demand for NR in China continue to increase strongly at a rate that I doubt the new rubber plantations can satisfy the additional demand. If the supply and demand theory works here, NR price should continue to head north!
Hi All supporters of gmg...
Got a feeling that this is coming back....

Happy07, I'm a firm believer that share price is driven by the fundamentals of the company.
Buying force need to be there in order to push it to next level....unless it break 14 cents....or else it will still stepping on the same grd...
Q1 07 rubber price average is comparable to that of last year....all still look good!
GMG up 0.5c while the rubber price remain steady.....
GMG posted some very useful information on sgx website after the recent result announcement.. Go there to download the info if you really interested to know thier business better.
anyone know if GMG has a website? If yes, please post...Tx!
shplayer,
Can you share your thoughts on future rubber prices? Thanks.
Bullrun,
When I do my estimates, I try to be conservative.....I will buy if the stock price is attractive vis a vis my estimated valuation. So, any upside will be a bonus.
I think the bigger challenge is to forecast the future rubber prices.
shplayer, Thanks...looking forward to seeing your analysis.....but it is really not going be easy to forecast since GMG seems to have the ability to increase their production by buying for smaller plantations owners!!! It is going to be a challenge!!
Rubber price in most Asia markets remain stable today......
I forecast the HY07 EPS to be around 0.8-1.2c.
Bullrun,
Will do a projection this weekend........but if I don't post anything by Tue.....3 Apr, please remind me and kick my A***.
Volumes getting stronger!!
shplayer, So how do u think GMG is going to perform in HY07 based on the price difference?

Looking at 2007 YTD rubber prices (not quite 1Q but pretty close), average prices are currently better than 2nd Half of 2006. Bulk Latex 2007 YTD average price is about 17.5% higher than 2nd Half 2006.
