Perhaps those stocks whose products that can help in the massive oil-spill crisis will really "Cheong Arh" (surge) in the coming weeks and months... ..

Frankly, I believe oil n gas sector stocks have been unfairly penalised by BP fiasco. One of the more depressed index. May have some good ones for the longer term. Take a good hard look. |

It's great to create a second income from shorting the stock market.
Easy money. Hehehe. |

Ya shorted too late but still ok lah, shorted at $1.88 covered back at $1.72 then short again at $1.74 then cover back at $1.66 when I sense market seems stop going down. Not too good in shorting though, if I see chart earlier, my Hong Leong Asia should have shorted at $4.80 now cover back will laugh all the way to the bank! To me, not familiar with shorting, will quickly cover back if sense anything wrong. Last year, I failed in shorting, always wait too long until price rebound back, lose back again! |

But the profit is lesser..............due to the price u short at 25May10(based on that day the high is at $1.77.....<the price i guess u may have short>). Anyway depends on how many lots u bought. In thousand / hundred lots, that will make difference. The profit will be alot. |

Yup,
Knowledgeable players (like yourself) should have no problem surviving
in this unpredictable marketplace.
Newbies are lucky to have another good guide here...

Thanks for the advice but don't worry, I act according to my chart analysis, still earn some. Will be more careful with shorting, just to earn a bit "pocket money". Anyway, didn't follow anyone, some say long some say short, must follow my own judgement. Hope all newbies can learn first before going into the market. |

Yes, you are right...
Your chart is your best and true friend...
In the end, you are your own best friend...

I have posted before to advise newbies...
Before one starts to do any shorting, he/she must first be good at longing.
It is wrong to start following others (ie. veterans), and start shorting before one even can do longing profitably.
This is because longing successfully itself
includes an act of shorting. Thus, any
newbie who shorts just because the market is weak will soon be "pok!"...

Really like this counter, so nice downtrend all the way. Short again during yesterday's rebound, never expect this time don't need to "hit-and-run", everything close so low. So will continue to hold until downtrend stops. This morning break $1.68 I sense don't need to cover today. After STI breaks 2666, confirm to "let the profit run"! |

That's why it is so important
not to "simply anyhow short" (limited profit)...
Always short only at meaty, juicy-dripping peaks...
