Anyone recall when Yongnam releasing its results?
Yongnam announced that its CEO and Executive Director
Mr. Seow Soon Yong is assisting the Commercial Affairs
Department (CAD) of the Singapore Police Force in its
investigation on possible infringement of Section 218 of
the Securities and Futures Act, which deals with insider
trading. The period under investigation is the first half of
2009. While this investigation is not related to any corrupt
business practices and does not impact the day-to-day
operations of the Group, there could be knee jerk negative
reaction from the market to this news. We would
recommend buying the stock on weakness. Our earnings
estimates remain unchanged, as does our TP of S$0.31.
Yongnam has won close to S$320m in new contracts in
FY11, and remains on course to delivering yet anotherrecord year of earnings in its soon-to-be-released results.

I still have faith in this gem.
Very minor offense. Most probably is insider news leak. The link below is similar case happened on last year December. Shanghai Holding ltd also involve in giving insider new. Eventually, Mr Yao had been fined with $50000. No impact to company profit and operation. If The CEO if yongnam resigned you may see brief impact because he is the key decision maker.

I think this is just one time off impact will not drag yongnam to the hell. buy on dip ~!!

can someone call the company to ask what line is it in Section218 and Chapter 289 . to see what boss who is very much in love with big junky gem stone ring has done wrong.

saw UOBKH report target price . looks attractive. but when can reach target price, no one knows.
