Nick, you got chance. This counter has been experiencing spiraling down in the afternoon after morning run up these 2 trading days. Good luck...but of course I hope it chiong lah!

geojam, yah lor... I think it's more typical singaporean mentality than big4 training, kiasu, kiasi. Don't forget, these are my Fixed Deposit equivalent. Cannot risk... must go for those slow and steady ones. As such, I also do not need to monitor their price. Just sit there and collect $$ once or twice every year. During economic downturns, the divvy they gave was still far better than interest banks would have paid me on the original capital outlay.

Many people think i'm crazy to do this, so leh cheh with one lot in this, in retail giant, in bank, in property with exposure to office and in SIA too.

 

XD in my account liao ..........first time to see such a big dividend payout.

28% upside to a 12-month target price of S$6.10 (6X 2008E EBITDA). We

believe the market has under-appreciated its value and prospects so far?

SPC underperformed the Straits Times Index significantly over the past

year (>30%)?and we expect the stock to rebound on the back of current

strong refining margins and a robust refining outlook for 2007E-2008E. In

our view, the high dividend yield (7.6%) offers downside support, backed

by strong financials. Further, we expect the rising upstream contribution to

result in a less cyclical and more diversified earnings profil

geojam, u r right.. I'm everywhere... like guerilla warfare. Some vetsed, some not.  Visit to read interesting posts.. Along the way, if I come across relevant emails from broker, I post it to share with those vested.  SPC was my FD (when fixed d matured earlier, i thot it was better to put in SPC and other bluechips than banks). But I was KS, so put one lot here, and one lot there like Robinsons, UOL avg $4-10k. Remember I got it low? I'm  not really monitoring this one. I already got more than I asked for in terms of divvy in place of interest.

U shd read much earlier post in SPC, think around Feb or Jan. I crossed fire with GL. Was quite fun.

that will explain why there's selling went on in the morning, with no pattern consistent of BBs and/or rich private investors since it's randomly done, with the network of relatives, both distant or not.
