chinkiasu,  yo ho ho. The fun for me comes when I see the divvy in my bank... representing 8% interest at my entry price :)

Nevermind abt that even bigger contra gain that you could have made. Fact is no one knows! And it's contra anyway. You made $$ out of nil capital!

Also,  looks like you made back and more whatever you've lost in your spc warrant. Congrats!

My dear Elfinchilde!!! Many thanks for the update on SPC... I should have not been so kiasu.. could have waited, but like nickyng  I thot Mondays would be good buy days... well..  look what happen.. it has really zoomed, and we are now beyond 5.0..  however I am happy as I only tikam my last sale.. still quite invested in SPC..  coffin money intact.. perhaps can have a small plot of  cemetry land liao, maybe like the Filipino type with security guard...  he he....really kidding here..

and my dear Shi san Yee (aka Auntie Bunnie), hi !!!!.. yes, I am indeed felt like a billionare here in HCMC, so many zeros to look at, and got very giddy... now at airport lounge waiting for flight... its been raining here.. (six months from now to november..) but the food here as your probably know is really good.. particularly the french food (i tried le entete, le camargue & Nam phan)..my stomach has gotten significantly bigger..

and my dear Geojam, looks like you may miss the boat.. this baby is going to soar to at least 6.00... and I think with the good refinery margins likely to be achieved this year, we might still see PE at 10x

and yes jkbk007. .. you are absolutely right...  my view is that people who only put money in bank are foolish people who might as well bury their money in the ground...

and eastonbay.. one lot is still one lot... good for fun..

NO, I think Nicky had lost on the commission of the 3 lots. Short at $5.05 and cover at $5.00 is break even in the Bid-Ask system.

Eastonbay, I have not invested in shares for a long time. Seems like 10 years. My money has been sitting in the bank fetching close to 1% interest. Somehow one fine day in Jan 2007 I decided that this is ridiculous. Things are getting more and more expensive and I am starting to see that my savings has depreciated against physical asset.

Thus I do not see putting your money in shares as a poor decision. Personally I see it as a bigger risk if I do not do anything with my cash because real inflation in the recent years are very high. I even move to unchartered waters by first investing in gold. From there I learn about fiat money and that if you just let your money sit around, you are definitely losing out because of inflation. However by taking calculated risk and invest, you stand a better chance against inflation.

Hi SPC hardcore

Read in today australian finacial review that SPC is buying up TAP oil.

It seems like they are buying up TAP oil together with Santos.

So hang on to ur SPC  shares for more news to come.

ideasa168, I am not so sure about Dec as I cannot see the outcome at 4Q. But I have very good projection for 2Q and 3Q for good fundamental reason. SPC should have no problem reaching $6.

Shorting SPC is like playing with fire. Just like me, sell at 4.78 and kanna burn. Even though I manage to get back some position I still lost more than 1k of potential profit because of this.

I am writing a FA on SPC based on my personal research drawing data from news, SPC and energy data. I plan to publish in this forum on Thursday. Please review through with an open mind and I will be most happy to hear any kind of comment.

Also fyi when I first invested in SPC, I did not do my research well and invested based on the simple basis that oil is likely to appreciate in 2007.

Meanwhile let's all of us hold tight to this SPC bull and enjoy the ride.....there is some distance for this bull to go.
