Not neccessary. Stock price is heavily dependant on sentiments. Right now, all very bad. But when sentiments improves, even money losing counters can see record prices. Sorry, but majority of people quite herd mental. Just follow crowd without thinking.

Midas is a hold for investors/non-traders. But for traders, at this time, try not to have to carry over night positions.

Annual Production will more than double in a years time.

Contracts have been secured before hand.

Owns 32.5 % stack in a company that has billions of contracts.

Not an Issue   Price below NAV

not a company that is losing money

Fair Value i say is 46 cents.

Warming Up to Stocks

While the European debt crisis simmers, Citigroup's Levkovich said it may be time to give the market another look even with the problems in Europe. The Dow finished the week down 2.2 percent at 10,994, after a 301 point loss Friday, and the S& P 500 was at 1154, a decline of 2.6 percent.

Levkovich said there have been some signs that are encouraging him, including a measure he watches which shows investor behavior has become highly defensive, or in " panic" mode in his model. The last time it went into " panic" mode was for two weeks in June and prior to that, in the summer of 2010 when investors were concerned about a double-dip recession.

" It went into 'panic' mode two weeks ago. We are also where the valuation criteria has turned very positive for the market," he said.

Levkovich said the earnings revisions will be a positive for the market, removing some of the uncertainty. " I think we're going to have more warnings. We're getting them already... I think you'll get more next week when companies start to see flash numbers for the month and that will mark a turning point," he said.

" Things are lining up for why stocks should go higher. This is a trade, it's not a fundamental statement that everything is wonderful," he said. Levkovich said he is retaining his target of 1400 on the S& P for year end.

Think Midas, like rest of the market, will dong down first before dinging up again. Extremely volatilty will be seen for some time yet. Not a time to hold.

JOINT NEWS RELEASE: http://www.ftse.com/News/20110908_STI_September_Review.jsp

No changes to STI constituents after half-yearly review

Singapore and Hong Kong, 8-Sep-2011 – SPH, S'pore Exchange Limited (SGX) and FTSE Grp (FTSE) announced today that constituents of the Straits Times Index (STI) will be unchanged following the conclusion of its half-yearly review.

The STI reserve list, comprising the five highest ranking non-constituents of the STI by market capitalisation, will be (in order of size) Hutchison Port Holdings Trust, Keppel Land, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings, Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust and UOL Group.  Companies in the reserve list will replace any constituents that become ineligible as a result of any corporate actions, before the next review.

A full list of STI constituents can be found in Appendix 1.

The STI is widely followed by investors as the benchmark for the Singapore market and is used as the basis of a range of financial products including Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), futures, warrants and other derivatives.

Several changes were made to other indices in the FTSE ST Index Series including the FTSE ST Maritime Index and FTSE ST Catalist Index. In the FTSE ST China Top Index Hutchison Port Holdings Trust will replace Midas Holdings. Full details of all deletions and additions can be found under the Index Reviews section at www.ftse.com/st.

All changes made in this review will take effect from the start of trading on 19 September 2011.  The next review is scheduled for 9 March 2012.

The indices are reviewed half-yearly by the independent FTSE ST Index Advisory Committee, in accordance with the index ground rules.  The

FTSE ST
methodology ensures the indices accurately represent the investable universe for benchmarking purposes and can be easily replicated as the basis of index-linked products.

U scare, then don buy lohh....look look, see, seeRolling Eyes. No risk, no gain, to each it own. Pls do ur home work. buy within ur mean  to keep and don do contra.

1 2 understand why Capital Group keep selling Midas and keeping buying HPH Trust. In d FTSE ST China top Index. Hutchison Port Holdings Trust - replace MIDAS Holdings. Full details of all deletions and additions can be found under the Index Reviews section at www.ftse.com/st.

teeth53 thot: Can trust fund like capital Grp?. I better trust my ownself. Drop so much oso can be inclusive, trying to find some ground to stand on, on a mudded ground.

Others  forumers  mentioned: Hold tis  for a few mths, they will sell. Do u think they  go for  long term??, willing to hold for several yrs? If and when  US$  fall in value  vs the S$, their holdings will shrink in value.

1 2 understand how BB works. Their target not midas but china index, look for global bad news to short big big on  china index. To ensure their shorts work, then look for bad news in any of the constituents of the index and then they short them down (which is easier than the entire index) which of course will bring the entire index down too.

With one less - midas out of the china index,  BBs have less incentive to short midas. Still one more is added - HPH Trust.

Isit not, there is some truth in it?. HPH Trust was  traded down since included in STI index and now China Index.

Counter to watch is HPH Trust...got weak heart. Don play, play... Laughing
