Hi Mike, I agree with you. Rayphua is a good Shifu. Me also learnt tons of good stuff from him :)

In fact, I have bookmarked his Squeeze Buy thread and it is the first place I visit in this forum every day. Decent calls and great charts there... i love it!

Rayphua, you got my Vote!

I would like to dedicate my vote to Rayphua! Smiley

Not only because of the decent profit I have earned recently by following his numerous Buy Calls from the Squeeze Thread, but most importantly,  I nominate him because of his spirit of selfless sharing his experience & knowledge with novice like me. I have really learnt a lot from him!

I believe everyone is a shifu in their own ways, with their unique strengths and methods, because analysis of both fundamentals and technical can be interpreted in different ways.  What's important is that we continue learning from another's strengths because there is no holy grail in analysis.

What's important to the reader when taking a second opinion from a fellow contributor is to understand first of all what kind of investment strategy suits him; long-term, mid-term, or short-term, to decide if the contributor's investment style suits him/her.  Otherwise his/her objective may not be met and can sometimes do more bad than good.  For example, Warren Buffet is a long term investor, someone I absolutely admire, but his investment style is not suitable for me.

My investment strategy is primarily TA, and partly FA, and partly Psychological.  It straddles from short-term (1 to 14 days, avg 5 days) to mid-term (6 months), with more focus in short-term.  As such, momentum indicators, sentiment, and psychology is important in my analysis.

That said, I started posting regularly here because I enjoy this lovely community where most people are like-minded, friendly, mature, helpful, and respectful.  And I hope to see this continue.  Cheers SJ mates!

I have to honour and priviledge to work closely with Elf... her decision making and the systematic reading of the charts are the best, i reckon.

Yes she is the SJ ShiFu......no  doubt.

In my humble view, Elfin (Eflinchilde) deserves the title of "SJ ShiFu" hands down!

Reasons... (gleaned from her postings)

She is an absolute all-rounder who is well-versed in TA (her version), FA and above all, common sense. She's a real gem in SJ!

(But I also have "Robert" in mind for a nomination too... :)

Other than SGH indicator i like to come out with SJS - SJ Shifu Indicator. How does it works?

It works when 2 or more Shifus posted their similar views on certain Stocks or Indexs.

However to be Shifu, one need to be based on

1)Ample Experience - at least 3 years or more of real trading exp

2)Active Participation in SJ forums - Lots of daily serious postings of  High quality

3)Accurate Predictions in Advance - at least 70% or higher correct prediction in Advance

4)Voted in by SJ Forum Memebers - by huge numbers and cannot have high number of negative vote

5)feel free to add more.

Currently, i have 5 persons in mind for ppl to consider to be voted in for The rank of Shifu

1)Singgal  - who else

2)Nostardamus

3)RayPhua ( dunnoe much abt him but has good postings)

4)SHPlayer

5)feel free to add.

As the creator of this SJS indicator,i would hold this Poll thus feel free to add feedbacks or suggestions. Thanks

Rayphua, you are absolutely rite...sir. it happened to Me2, but I was not so lucky.. I sold when I meant to buy and ended up really naked...  sigh.. I was kicking my self  silly for the next few days watching the stock rise and agony only ended at T+4 forced buy...

chinkiasu, guess what..I did something similar today for GKE.  Wanted to sell to take profit, but instead bought double my holdings, and at a higher price.  Lucky to have gotten out unscathed and still made $$$.  I guess it can happen to anyone, even the most careful trader.  But this poor guy won't be able to sleep this weekend.
