It is quite tempting to lock in those profit.

What is holding me is those very optimistic fundamental. I say the day when SPC gets more positive news will come.

I gonna put a big REN word in my bedroom!

Wah... came back and see report from Wanbao and all gets agitated over the analysis report. Guys, it's just a report, no need to get so emotional. So far I am happy with the performance. Docking in and out of the counter won't do much help in buidling a good portfolio. Hence Chinkiasu, I am in for the ride of $6.00 which is just 17 notch up from current price of $5.15. Cheers!

i am surprised.!!. jackjames.... ,  high gasoline prices mean high margins for refinery.. which means good profits for SPC..  perhaps you have other reasons...

Many a times companies invite fund mgrs etc...for dinner and entertainment,so that they will reco.their counter.

no worries, eastonbay... actually, its got nothing to do with any ownership of shares or counters.. my main grouse is simply against ppl who distort the truth under the guise of objectivity:  particularly newspapers who are suppose to report news objectively..  so if we know it is a misleading report it is only proper that the reporter realise his mistake and make amends/corrections, but making statments like for reference etc does not mean they can anyhow say things that can mislead people...

(gosh, this is ending up like opening a can of worms. Elf... help me!!!!)

see, people got emotional when it's a counter that they owned. I must come out and say 'gong1 dao4 hua4'. Firstly, qualify first. I'm not in any way related to anyone in ZB. Ok, here's my opinion. Zaobao has been publishing this column for YEARS (stress) already, and in fact I have posted a few of their 'predictions'. Up or down, I have never got this reaction before.

People, we do not know what's their basis, so we can't say they publish such report without good basis. What I know is they look at long term trend, usually. Let's be fair to ZB.  They did qualify that it's for reference purpose only, and not inducement to trade.

In fact I actually admire the person's guts for putting up such article at such a time of optimism for SPC. Don't forget, they risk being ridiculed at, as YangFang saild, being a major local newspaper.

Ah, one more. We have never blamed those major brokerage houses for publishing a 'buy' report with sky high TP, people bought at sky high price. Say,  within 1 or 2 weeks, they changing it to a 'sell' call leading to a major sell-down. Do we?

I couldnt agreed more with jkbk, Zaobao is one of the major local newspaper in terms of readership, how could they publish such report without good basis...
