Wonder how much our telcos pay for the July Euro Cup. They didnt announce the price.
This year either singtel or starhub (or both?) will bid in Sep to renew EPL rights again. Or are they supposed to split the bid price?
Sifu ipunter, there are 2 categories of singtel shares:
(1) those bought any time from the open mkt (cash/CFDs/CPF/SRS), all can be bot/sold thru our usual brokers, just like any other stocks.
(2) but those allotted to us thru our CPF (A, B) shares can only be sold thru Philips securities brokers. Those who want to sell these shares BUT dont want to open philips sec account will hv to go to a post office and fill up a form, by which philips sec will help sell these shares, but we hv no control over the price, as it may take a few days for our sale application to be processed.
I think the process at (2) abv still applies, unless there are new changes since last year.

Anyone has any idea if they can sell without opening an investment account?

The cum. dividend dist. since 1994 till todate is
{tot. $1.77/sh (Yr:1994-2012)+ [80%less tax (Yr:2000)] + [50%less tax (Yr:2001)]}
Let's say 1,000 shares holding, the discounted px i think is $1.90/sh(right?), then the return till date is more than 100% capital gain.
I would be quite reluctant to sell if given a chance.

Still holding some in CPF. Becos all these years, i hv not opened any CPF investment account to sell the share.

Singtel share has been on steroid recently..... Beware!
I sold 20% of my Singtel shares very reluctantly....

On Wednesday, Singtel re-test the resistance at $3.48 and closed at $3.48 with LOW volume of 11.34 million shares traded.
During the past 10 bars, there have been 5 white candles and 5 black
candles. During the past 50 bars, there have been 23 white candles and
19 black candles for a net of 4 white candles..
Both RSI & MACD are flat as RSI trend sideways.
Important Resistance of Singtel: $3.48
Immediate Support of Singtel: $3.11
Currently prices are well above 20/50/100/200 days MA.
