Also, Interra has turned around with Net Profit of S$3.4M for FY2005. Revenue rose 66% for FY2005. This is due to annual production of 1.1 million barrels of oil, up 385% from 222,000 barrels of oil in 2004.
According to their announcement, the significant prospects & leads were identified by a Schlumberger study to be 3,639 million barrels. The Schlumberger Study states that the latest findings of the prospects and leads of 3,639 million barrels is an increase of over 200% as compared to the previous estimates. If successfully developed and we add this on to their current production and with the high oil prices these days, it's worth a closer look.
Also, as published in Business Times yesterday, they are also exploring the oilfields in India through one of their subsidiaries, who is already active in India.
