Sifus, Sifus, Simu (e.g. singaporegal:)....would appreciate your views re the following:

Having missed the boat, I was trying to step out and buy a few lots of this counter (for trading purposes), but quite hesitant. Been reading a lot and many market commentators warn about the rally receding as quickly as it came cos fundamentals have not improved, in fact, worse, with very bad job data released this Friday in US.  The hype and frenzy has got many people ignoring the reality, so this bubble may pop soon.

Not going to hold anyone responsible regardless of right or wrong, but what are your thoughts on this rally ? got fuel to last for the next few weeks, or is it sentiments which can grow and dissipate as quickly ? Your reasons appreciated.

Thanks in advance !

INGAPORE, April 2 (Reuters) - Singapore property firms
such as CapitaLand (CATL.SI) may be in focus on Thursday after
U.S. home sales rose more than expected in February, raising
hopes that the economic downturn is moderating.

What happens to the company bottom line when write-downs of property values held by the company exceed the operating profit? Will the company not end up in the red if the property market burst? Read somewhere before the recent rights issue that the corporate gearing was at 40% would eventually hit 120%. Dunno how true this is? Good that the rights issue will provide some good cushion if the property market gets worse and even if there is quick economic turnaround company would have a war chest ready for cheap overseas acquisition. Whatever it is, I will invest this counter hit below the recent rights issue price. Meanwhile, I also trade as it trend downwards. That reminds me of Genting International...now trading below rights issue?

1.3 to 1.5 seems achievable, Q1 result, poor GDP and failure of large corp in USA. But who knows, speculator mayhave the last say.

What if it never goes as low as $1.50?

Yongster      ( Date: 31-Mar-2009 09:33) Posted:

anything at $1.80-$2.00 should be a good buy for the LT
personally, my ambitious target is to accumulate at $1.30-$1.50 before end of this year...

I had let go this counter a bit early and only making some money. Thinking of getting it back below 2.1. Any views?

TA shows a possible bottoming out in early march. Acc/Dist and MACD charts are slightly bullish.
