Thanks Bro ST for sharing man! Learn something from you today. There are many kind of trading strategies. It's good to have people like you or Bro SFGuyRulez to share your experience. I think some bros & sis were thinking of picking up some good counters. You may want to give some advice to them which counters they can look out for. I'm not good in this fundamental thing so can't help much.

Market correction can be viewed in different period.
- Minor Correction (short curve with rebound on the STI chart)
Usually happens when traders want to to short term profits or the technical chart showing reversal signal.
- Mild Correction: (bigger short curve with rebound on the STI chart)
Sometimes can due to global events where STI can drop more 100 points in a short period of time
- Major Correction: (dip down of the STI chart) eg: mid-2007 to beginning of 2009)
No hope in the market where each single day the Low and lower Support is broken and in a very short time frame. When this happens, I won't even want to trade and stay still aside even though some people take this opportunity to do shorting. But I am a person who hate shorting even though the technical indicator showing otherwise.. :) and can earn money out of it.. Too bad..
2 examples I would like to give was:
CDL Htrust, years back, once bought at 1.97 due to wrong calculation, and decided not to implement the 7% cut loss as seen potential in the stock, with my support and resistance holding it, I managed to scrap through few times riding on the mini wave and back to even more than 2 dollars, closed at 2.11.
But I sold of the 1.97 batch at 2.00 instead , and all together with the dividend I accumulated during the run-up and my short term trades during the mini wave, I made the profit out of it..
SGX, at 6.80, dropped further below and decided to keep it and played the same thing, ride the mini wave to get back to the price as usual, more than the price I got stucked.
So, eventually the stocks with growth value, and together with the right trading indicators will help you to earn many times out of it, BUT remember
this doesn't happen during the MAJOR Correction,
MAJOR correction means, Support levels broken many times without any indicator of rebound.. That will be the time I will just sit back and relax..

Market go up and down, thus winning and losing is part and parcel of the game. Don't be disheartened. In this kind of market, almost all will lose money whether contra or pick up...the difference is lose more or less only. But of cause when one lose money, must learn something from the losses else the money loss is not worth it. Always play within your mean and when market seems like turning against us, it is be safer to trim down our holdings or get out. To cut loss losing 10 pips may be heart pain, but if you don'tt cut and go through the current downside, it will not only heart pain but more pressure and sleepless night. I cut without thinking too much because I have gone through these and I know if I don't cut, my risk is very high. So for now, if you have cut and loss, don't take it too hard. Money can make back one. Now the risk go to those who pick up shares. Some may say pick up shares only paper loss but it is also a real loss. At the moment, no one knows whether we are in for a short or long correction. But if we are in a long correction, the hardest hit one are those that pick up shares. Sometimes long correction can last for a few years. You may buy a counter with good fundamental but make sure this counter continue to perform during the bear period or else it may not go back to your price when market recovers. In a bull market, there will be popular counters being pushed up based on many reasons including good fundamental or potential. But after going through the bear market and come the next bull, some of these so called popular counters are no more popular because BBs or Funds have change their target. For me, I only believe in pick up shares during bear market but not during bull market. If want to hold, I think the best is to buy and hold when BBs is playing the counter. After they play for 1-2 months and run, then that is the time you sell. Of course we cannot just chiong in any counters BBs buy. Counters that chiong up too fast is the most risky one.
So what can we learn from the Asiasons, Blumont and Liongold?. A few things we can learn from here. First, when they chiong up too high especially in a short period of time, it is too risky to touch because if it can go up so fast, it will also come down fast. Second, when peoples starts to anyhow throw, it is safe to follow them to throw because there must be problem else it won't drop like that. For me, I won t even call my broker to check first in this kind of situation because by the time he expplain to me, it will likely drop a lot more. Third, in this kind of drop high chance got problem one, so don't long or short because the chance of a halt is very high.
In this kind of market, many will not want to look at the market. But I want to say if you don't look, you will not know how a market correct. No need to keep monitoring the market but at least don't loss touch of it. You can see the market started from smaller drop and then serious drop(remember I said in my previous posting that the serious one haven't come). Now look at intraday trading on Friday and yesterday. The market drop a lot in the morning and then recover. In the afternoon it drop again. If you know this, then you will know is the best time to sell if you miss the first selling time. Not only that, you will not go in and bargain hunt during the temporary recovery. If want to go in during recovery, then must come out fast.
Ok, that's what I can share as for now. Time to start work.

Forgotten to mention one thing, 1 particular stock I kept throughout the MAJOR correction is Capital Mall.. :)
I don't know why, maybe I have been keeping this for very very long, got some feel for it together with the dividend that have been given out.
