jackdaniels, he said inventory lah, dont kan jiong, we all in the same camp.
aiyoh.. jackjames.. why argue over the obvious...ha ha .. just buy the stock man.
.. this baby is a cash cow for Keppel corp so stock price aint gona skyrocket (on top of that lots of parasitic warrants dragging it down).. but it will always have good divvys...

I am refering to the oil inventory
who tell you once summer season starts , the trend is expected to go down? The usage of oil will go up la... summer times, holidays, American drives a lot for holidays, can drive from Michigan to LA, or to Florida.. Oil comsumption will go up.
Yes, oil and gasoline is expected to increase further. However once summer season starts, the trend is expected to go down. This is the key concern as current reserve is at an all time low in US history. It is estimated that current reserves can last only about 20+ days. Singapore has enough for 1 year. Bush is pretty concern about energy security and is tryint to push for ethanol as an alternative. Bush is pretty desperate as ethanol in US is obtained from corn and is a poor alternative. In any case, what is more positive for SPC is to have more refineries problems and delay or cancellation of new refineries.
Ideally I hope oil to trend between $61 to $68. The US economy is pretty weak and high oil price could turn off consumer. I think oil could hit $80-85 this year. I would like to see US economy to remain positive until end October, i.e. when SPC reports their Q3 result. If we do not see much changes, SPC may have a chance at $8 by November.
Finally the long term outlook for SPC is not too rosy mainly because of expected new entries in the region. I suspect that this is the reason why SPC is undervalued. Then again current sitation is still bright for SPC and perhaps another hurrican can change the long term outlook for SPC.
U.S. government stock data is due to be released on later on Wednesday and a Reuters poll of analysts has forecast that gasoline inventories rose by 1.4 million barrels last week, as refiners raced to produce more fuel before the Memorial Day holiday this weekend, which marks the start of the summer driving season.
do you think we will really see a rise of 1.4mil barrels? would u guys rather see oil prices below 65 for better refinery margins, or wanna see oil price hike to push up SPC but result in inventory writedown when oil prices ease from highs.
this forum got too many useless emoticons.
they even have emoticons like this one.

profit taking day.
5.300 pls hold at that level and dont drop anymore.
roger that.
just had lunch. i go nap first then later wake up and study.
if SPC can hit $5.6 + cash, i would have accumulated $70k. $70k x 120% to power of 5 = 174k. not enough.
must find good job. first yr $2.2k, second yr $2.8k, third year $3.4k..... do audit, do finance, be CFO..
then can buy 1 house 2 houses 3 houses, buy 1 car 2 cars 3 cars, have 1 wife 1 mistress 2 mistresses. (wait for actresses like jacelyn go bankrupt and save them)
1402. don't be naughty. You had better spend more time in your study. The best investment is yourself. $20K on SPC may become $80K in 5 years. But if you did well in study and get a job that pays $5K a month, that will be $300K in 5 years and best of all, it's nett profit, you get it?
1402 hey, dont be naughty leh... I said it is a no brainer, but not what you said....

007, chinkiasu say u no brain, lol, just joking, tiao po li jian.
rogue trader's sembmar and sembcorp v exciting today.
007, given the higher refinery margins, and also oil prices prevailing, it is a no brainer that SPC earnings will definately be better than 2006...
1402, I do not know much about Kepcorp but their forecast earnings should get stronger with each quarter. On the other hand, SPC earnings is uncertain. However I am very optimistic on SPC and hoping that they report Q2 EPS of 30 cents or more on end July!
jkbk, actually its not fair for us to judge kepcorp on NAV, we have to take into account FORECAST EARNINGS.
indeed we see profit taking today
up for two days already. profit taking day tmrw?
any TA analysis?
ten.
3.5k dividends.
1402, good to start so young, two lots of SPC today with 20% appreciation yearly would become 1.03million in 25 years. so you can retire at 45 year old!! how nice.
yeah, i'm not good with my studies, so i thought i better have some backup plan.
