The XD is on 13-July-2011....6.75 cents

If the 'commercial' are  shorting this stock now, would they buy it back when it approaching XD / after the XD? Or they just unloading it now. Why?

With raising fuel costs(which will eat into SMRT's profit), and global economical problems, these two are factors that are affecting the price of the stock now.

can Smrt make enough money in a year  from it's riderships and rental of outlets on the new Stations when other sectors of yellow lines, or the whole profit will be dragged down because of this.

about 9 stations on hte yellow lines were opened by 1 half of 2010, has it made profit and reflexed in this year FY report(for 2010 result)

anyone knows it better

6.75 cents dividend is coming in mid-July and this stock is standing (very) strongly around $1.90.

Do you expect this stock moves up around end-June or early July timeframe?

In the future, we can expect transportation cost to go up but only by a mere percentage.Cant expect too much upside for this stock since it is closely tied to the live hood of the people so it cant get anywhere higher when raising fares. However for defensive stocks, this is a gd stock to pick on.

I am guess after the PAP win the election.. First to go up is the public transportation cost..

After oil go up so much (how much per barrel in % term compare to last year recession price per barrel)

PTC will review and give them the % they should be getting in today terms. Hopefully a good 10% hike in fees, then SMRT shareholders and temasek will laugh to the bank.. Cheers. Just wait Sept will be good good news for SMRT shareholder...

We need SMRT to make good profit, if not how to give world class public transport if SMRT not showing good profit. SMRT is a listed company not a charity company one must remember.. If not no point listing SMRT, might as well the gov take it private and keep it. This is a  LISTED COMPANY not CHARITY ORGANISATION like the government says.. If not how to answer to the shareholder.

Vested in SMRT, just look at the ROE rate. Investors will be impress by its track record

not sure anything exciting as the stock still hovering around $1.90. Normally, stock price goes up before the company releases good news.....
