This one you've to hold and wait for a little longer. Should be moving quite soon. For people with excess cash and instead of putting to FDs, this is a better option as the yield is much better than the 3-5% p.a. from FDs.

The opportunistic hit & run  investors would surely go for the 'hot' stocks in this bullish market. One word of warning, though ............try to move ahead of the pack! Cheers!

Yes, you could ask about Sect44 Tax Credit at the AGM. The Tax Accountant should have the records. I don't think there is a huge sum left as their taxes paid were not that fantastic inhe past years. Cheers!

All companies are required to pay tax on incomes that are taxable unless given 'tax-heaven' status. The tax paid on each FY is recorded by the IRS Tax Dept called the Tax Credit Sect44. The company must have sufficient accumulation in  Sect44 to frank dividend payout which will not be tax again.

All Companies have to make provision for taxation for the taxable incomes in their FY reports. This is to show a fairer representation of the Companies earnings after taxation for that FY, as required by the Authority. It is a provision 'cos the actual number may and will differ from the IRS. The difference will be adjusted accordingly in the next FY reports. Hope this will hep to put in some lights! Cheers!

It is not true that companies are good if they payout small dividends and bad for paying out huge dividends. A company can only payout dividends when there is profit and sufficient cash  in that Financial Year after providing for working capital and foreseeable future capital investments and other needs. Dividend payout policy vary for different company. Some good companies with excessive cash balances will reward shareholders by returning cash in the form of capital reductions or special dividend payouts.

If you could spot a Company with a huge cash balance and no debts, let me know. Cheers!

Reasonable voulme today with 5m plus traded at average price of 18.5 cents. One noticeable trend is that the morning till almost the end, Frontline traded at 18.5 cents. But somehow or someone will closed the day down for the day, ie. 18 cents. Definitely BB is accumulating for a big push, when is anybody guess.

ten4one, share the same sentiment as you, the only reason any fund manager will invest is the prospect and earning capability of the company / management. Frontline has displays such capabilities and believe BB has recognised that as well. Happy investing.Smiley

I thought giving out div is good, more often then not during AGM shareholders would be asking for more div. The growth of the co is intact, with the excess profit why not give it to loyal shareholders. Its is co policy to give out 30% of profit as div, in the next few yrs till FY2010, if I remember correctly. If you're long term investor you should be quite happy collecting about 3.3% div. Visit their website and read the MD/COE message.

may i know the policy of why this company always give out dividend? normally, good companies give away little dividend and uses the earning for growth, from the financial report, they constantly give out a significant of earnings for dividend

Think and act like a Fund Mgr - you're given a $50mn cash to manage and must close your book half or yearly. Your bonus or commission depends on your performance. Do you still want to put your  money on FL or you go for the trends and lock in your profits. Cheers!

ten4one, what made you state that:

manipulation do occur, but rarely and definitely not this counter.

Recently, do notice sign of BB's activties surrounding penny stocks pushing them to their all time high. Frontline is no exception as it seldom tread even near 18 cents for the last couple of years. It even hit a high of 19.5 cents, not far off from its IPO price of 24 cents.

What make me particularly interested and keen in this counter is it strategy and execution of plan by its management - slow and steady. This pace ensure the return of positive and strong result for last couple of years. Kudos to Frontline.Smiley

The drum may be beaten very loudly but in most cases there is no parade as Investors nowaday are very well-informed and have became more equiped and savvy. In fact, some could even benefit from such an occurance which I think most of the the times were just 'blind' speculation with little or no concrete evidence; or, just loser cries foul. Of course, such manipulation do occur, but rarely and definitely not this counter.

It is all these 'heresays' that make the Market so interesting and dynamic.Cheers!
