seriously this is no jokes man.. this is really a sad news..sometimes, life is short.. Really sad.... top earning people with early age just pass away in an accident.. sometimes, we really need good health and God's protection.. haih.. a bit sad because of this incident.. oh well, life goes on... and now, I am curious how's his 50% holding of chemoil stocks go to... his family?

sad sad sad...

With great sadness, the Board of Directors of Chemoil Energy Limited announces that the company?s CEO and Executive Chairman Mr Robert V Chandran passed away January 7, 2008 from injuries sustained when a helicopter he was traveling in crashed in the Riau Province of Indonesia.

The accident occurred yesterday afternoon. In the aircraft with Mr Chandran was Mr Terence Gidlow, Chemoil?s Vice President of Business Development. Mr Gidlow was injured but is in stable condition at this time.

The Board of Directors are in discussion on succession issues to ensure business continuity.

Mr Chandran was a brilliant entrepreneur who led with vision and dynamism, building Chemoil Energy into one of the world?s leading independent suppliers of marine fuels since he founded the company in 1981. This was embodied when he lead the Chemoil Energy Limited?s successful listing at the Singapore Exchange (SGX) main board in December 2006.

The Directors of Chemoil wish to extend their heartfelt condolences to the Chandran family.

By Order of the Board

Clyde Michael Bandy

US dollars is weak, oil prices is rising.  Chemoil is very dependent on these 2 factors.  one thing to take note  is that chemoil profit margin is very low, not like oil producers.  any fluctuations in oil price will be disastrous.  although they try to curb this by hedging oil derivatives, its like a gambling game where only GOD or LUCKY wins.  Notwithsatnding, this is a great company, with its Chairman strongly supporting its share price..long term good buy!

0.45 cts still not cheap enough.

With 3 quarters earnings down, volatile of oil price, dropping US dollars, you still think the last 4th quarter can do miracle ???

It is confirm this whole year 2007 will be worst off when compare to last whole year 2006.

The whole year 2007 profits will be dropped xx% than last year 2006.

Chemoil is a good company but you must wait till the worst time to buy.

When they announce their poor 4th quarter earnings, that will be the best time to enter.

You may even get US$0.40cts if you're paitence enough.

0.45 - 0.47 may be damn good price provided next qtr result is good. Or else, you may see one more tumbling in price.

Chem Oil is good counters. But you are exposed to depreciation of US dollar unless you decided to keep for long term and you also have foreign currecy account. I strongly believe it is good.

If it follow us, then it is simple ? Everybody strike lo....hahhaa...

I have some comments in thsi counters, you may like to browse my blog at http://www.henryhts.multiply.com. Thanks!
