Rubber price has reached bottom and started to go up. Coupled with stabilized operation in Cameron.

lolzita      ( Date: 25-Jan-2012 14:18) Posted:

Thai govt just approved injection to push natural rubber price at least 10% higher. Should translate positively to GMG's revenue from TBH processing facility in Thailand in Q1-2012.

This shows that rubber price has reached the bottom. Positive outlook if able to manage its operation better in Cameron.

How GMG going to use cash of S$312m ???

DBSV: The recent rights issue will further boost GMG’s net cash to S$312m by end Dec11. Given the company’s announced expansion plans, GMG is expected to remain in a net cash position over the next 3 years.

A general question, how much to subscribe to the rights?

I got some GMG shares bot at 0.235 sometime back.

Forgot all about it until today. Smiley

they will list the banks allowed for the subscription, which usually includes all the major banks in sg.

you need not subscribe through your securities bank account i think, but you will need the CDP account no. since this will be the first time you will be doing shares related  with ATM

the last date of subscription is dec 10 i think.. plenty of time to go

Thank for your information.

BTW, must I subscribe the right through DSB/POSB bank's ATM. or just go to any bank's ATM machine? Cause my securities bank account is not POSB/DBS.

BLTENG:

you will receive a letter in regards to the rights issue, which states how many rights you're offered based on your current holdings. It will mention when is the start and  last day of subscription to the rights.

In order to subscribe to the rights, it is usually done through ATM where u can apply for the given amount of rights and excess rights if you wish... the $$ will be deducted from your bank account upon subscription... the shares from subscription  can only be traded once they're in your CDP account.

yummygd:

with all the costs included, you should make some, as long as the price holds up around this level by the time you get the subscription shares =) which.. will be a month... ? not sure when is the new shares gonna be traded.

flekzout:

find the document online about the rights shares in SGX, under GMG.

it will state the following:
- the day nil rights trading starts (which is where u can buy/sell the rights as a stock itself)
- the day nil rights trading ends (which is the day the buying/selling of the rights as a stock itself stops)
- the day subscription must be made (which is the last day u can subscribe to shares based on the no. of rights u have, regardless awarded or purchased from market)
- the  expected day the new shares will be made available for trading (this is an expected date. you can buy/sell the shares once they are in your CDP account, so double check that)

hmms.. right or wrong not sure... its an individual preference thing

but if it were up to me, i would sell the shares before XR, and buy the rights off market if i want to... why so... because this is a downtrend market....2 weeks down when the Rights gets trading.. it might get even cheaper....

the theorectical price after XR is supposedly 0.153 based on 0.215 closing yesterday.
