Anywayz, if US markets close in the green today, good chance we see a rally for STI tomorrow.

Not sure about GLP. But those counters that may be involved in the eventual rebuilding should be doing well in the mid to long term. The construction and material counters in other exchanges rallied today for obvious reasons

Okie correct me if im wrong. When a major disaster happens. All the aids will pour in. whatever been destroyed will most likely be build in record time. When that happens, the country will be spending alot of money to rebuild. That in turn will creat jobs, n their people will have spending power and that in turn helps e economy. I know its not going to happen at one go n their economy will suffer for e time being but in the long run say 2 years from now (unless bad things happen again) It should be back n running. And in my Opinion GLP is an extremely good buy at current price. Yes No?

Singapore grament should take this opportunity to surround singapore with nuclear plants because singapore is not affected by big quakes and tsunamis. Then we can sell electricity to the whole of south east asia and north asia as well because they are always affected by natural disasters. Let's capitalise on this, yes no?

For now you can kiss goodbye to those 3 Nuclear power plants it will take years (2-5 years)to restart or rebuild it if they are allowed but unlikely. Problem japan facing right now is Food, Water and Electricity. 1) Food in terms of Rice as tons of as rice field has been cleared. China Mingzhong 2) Water infrastructure destroyed. (Road, Bridge, water pipes etc..) 3) Power Plants need to increase its capacity to meet its power shortage japan is facing. Power plants & infrastructure cant be built overnight... therefore power generators will be deployed at once to ease the power shortage. In mid term to long term japan might not consider nuclear energy at all. Therefore it only comes down it a few fuels that we know. Coal, Solar, Wind, Biodiesel, Oil. Among Coal and Biodiesel should be short listed (Solar & Wind power are not constant). Theres tons of coal around and its cheap but it has pollution problems. Biodiesel will be a better alternative because of Cheap & Clean biodegradeable and safer to store. It has been quite successful in US where biodiesel is used to power its poeple. Even in Singapore we are testing using algaes as biofuel. Within weeks.... we will expect demands in various commodities increases. As rebuilding of Japan started to kick in. If No Wrong We will see Mini Bull Run by Next week or Early April. Also I find it really annoying how some nations using other nations in its own interests. Look at libya and if you really understand whats going on... its disgusting. What they want is oil and just because the owner favour another party, the other one try to create a revolution.... Its all about resources atm.... cant be really specific at public forum... Really Really I really hope WORLD PEACE.

Japan's quack  can bring forth businesses to supplies like below, china is benefiting a lot from this,  becos japan will need 20 billions to rebuilt.

- construction material supply

- Any supplies that you can think of

有 人 happy,  有 人 not happy(those businesses that need the CHIPs, will be affected for quack has destroyed chips manufacturing)

The governor of the Bank of Japan has said it will provide 2 trillion ($24bn) to 3 trillion ($37bn) yen of liquidity to the banking system on Monday to keep markets stable in the wake of the disaster and keep short-term borrowing costs down. " We will monitor market conditions and plan to provide markets with a lot of liquidity first thing tomorrow morning," Masaaki Shirakawa said. He added that the bank would also thoroughly consider the economic impact of the earthquake when the board meets for an interest rate review on Monday.
