ya, agree with u.  a tiger that climb up a mountain is auspicious.

Have you tried suggesting it to TigerAir? You may get a reward. Smiley

上山虎 better than 下山虎.

One boss received a card with drawing of  '下山虎'  and few months later, the boss got retrenched.   hahaha!

no problem if gonna must tiger logo "leaping upwards", just flip the "leaping downwards" upside down lor. TigerAir don't have to spend a single to engage consultant to brainstorm that way.

But then "it" will look more like a "dead" tiger with four feet pointing to the sky. hahaha....

This Tiger is a 'leaping tiger' but it is leaping 'downwards'.  I think they should change their logo to a better looking tiger e.g. a tiger leaping upwards  ......

Those who had applied not sure if they anxious or not now if alloted. Those who gave a miss probably getting ready to take out their biggest cannons to unload on tiger. Will this be a real "roaring" tiger or "paper" tiger. "Crouching" tiger ready to prance on shortists or just "pussy cat" waiting to be devoured.

Words abound on the streets of Singapore. What will happen on Tiger's debut day??

Blood on the streets  or  Cash$$ on the streets of Singapore.

Good luck to all, irregardless you are a fan or not of tiger. Not vested.

Apply warren buffet teaching when you are thinking to buy tiger airways... overprice... but still oversub,,,. Dont chase this one.. smart money move in and out much faster than most retail investor... got to think logically..

where is tiger hidden value...??? book value nope... pe ratio... nope... extremely good management... maybe but not a best reason...

Higher demand from the IR... rich tourist dont fly budget... if got choice... expecting tiger to carry double or triple total passenger in 2010 unlikely.. with all the competitors around... so where is tiger hidden value..?? can forumers or those who invest tell me...

Same like singtel shares price so expensive, after 10years still havent hit the $5.00 mark when the share trade on the first day... (Expectation is very high on tiger, i will be waiting for it to come down in price closer to it book value

Wondering also what kind of potential this budget airline has.. Offering 1cents, $1 etc tickets.... IPO think is they need the money to buy planes... Once they buy their own plane, offers the tikets at $8, $9 plus etc...Unless they sell the in-flight drinks and snacks at $10 ~ $15, Really wondering what they are earning.....

12am to 4am... that's the worst time to be delayed. Personally never taken TigerAir before... put off by oft complaints on Forum/ST and Zaobao. Have taken JetStar on two different trips (to HK and Taipei)... on time on both occasions. The service is actually not too bad given it's status as a discount airline. Besides, it departs from T1 not budget terminal.

i hv taken TigerAir twice....and out of which i already kanna flight delay from 12am to 4am at ChiangMai....the hit rate is 50%....with that kinda of customer service and passenger service quality(no doubt it is BUDGET but at least maintain some standard lah..flight delay 1hr+ still acceptable but 4HRS !) i think it is hard this TigerAir can go into profit year after year....well..their year after year LOSSES is a prove of their service "QUALITY"...hee :D

Read in todays' news that Tiger Airways have brought forward their aircraft purchase due to some new agreement with Standard Chartered and that new aircrafts will be delivered in 2011 instead of 2016.

hmm....at least some good news prior to trading on 22nd and in time to capitalise on the vast influx of tourists for the IRs opening!

Lets see how it will open on Fri
