It has opened a US$33 mln hotel in China named Banyan Tree Lijiang Hotel situated in the Northwest of Yunnan Plateau. The development offers 55 villas.

 

This one has inconsistent volumes... TA people should avoid.

Banyan Tree's sister brand, Angsana Spa, will also be incorporated into hotels within the "integrated resort" complex, the statement said.



Although it is a Singapore company, Banyan Tree has yet to set up its signature brand on home soil. Its operations are spread out in 19 hotels and resorts, 51 spas and two golf courses worldwide.



"The project presents a great opportunity for Banyan Tree to return to its roots by establishing its signature brand of hospitality on home ground," said Paul Chong, assistant vice president of business development at the company.



Eighth Wonder chairman Mark Advent added: "Our vision for the Sentosa integrated resort is to make it truly world class and yet uniquely Singapore."

 

It edged higher after its unit Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts joined Eighth Wonder's bid to build and operate Sentosa IR.



Should Eighth Wonder win the Sentosa bidding, Banyan Tree will manage and operate the resort, Eighth Wonder said.



This will strengthen Eighth Wonder's hand.

Come to think about Bayantree, as resorts and hotels owner, they should have a very good PR team of pro or even Pro mgr to promote their vested interest, but i oni heard husband and/or wife name doing promotion saying all the good stuffs. i maybe wrong, pls correct me if...

Very rich ppl will or willing to go Thailand, India and or China???. It price earning ratio (PER) stand at about 517 x, so U think is or is not a bit expensive. Still ppl out there will like to support px now standing at $0.855 cents, so wish all vested interest,, all the good luck yahh....

 

Another worse of another kind, news of Natsteel collected from BanyanTree more then S$41mil and it ipo px is abit on the high side i told ppl they do believe in me saying it's for long term and i think it will take longer term to recover some $$$ back liao.
