Best World Delivers $5.2m in Net Profit for 1H2009
• Group revenue and net profit improve quarterly despite challenging times
• Remain confident of new product offerings to be introduced in 2H2009
• Dividend payout represents 47.2% of 1H2009 net profit


Singapore, 11 August 2009 – Mainboard-listed Best World International Limited, (“Best World”
or the “Group”), a direct selling company which specializes in the distribution of its proprietary
health and lifestyle products through its regional direct selling network today announced a net
profit attributable to Equity Holders of $5.2 million for the financial period ended 30 June 2009
(“1H2009”). Best World’s Board of Directors has proposed an interim dividend of 1.2 cents per
share, representing 47.2% of 1H2009 net profit.

 

6 months on and Best World is nearly up 100%. 31.5 cts still a long way from its pre-crisis price. look forward to its half-yr results .... soon.

But this is an interesting stock (Cheong Aarrrhhh!!! with 10 lots)...

MLM is my favourite all along, since it's the best business model man has ever known...  hehehe...

I will grab a lot of this counter if it reaches 0.12... hopefully, but not impossible. ..

 

Yesterday Best World closed @0.16... Today more sellers offering @0.16 but no buyers... Maybe they think it's still 'expensive'... But it is already so cheap... Much, much cheaper than one year ago... Zhuge was right spot on!...

 

Seems to be in hibernation since  last December

Even  forum veterans on this counter :- Zhuge_Liang and Bullrun4ever seem to be very quiet nowadays.

How's this company' biz doing in this crisis?

 

Not easy for magician either.  Our System here always dictates that stock cannot go drastically in price but it can be allowed to go down terribly low in price. Companies will be queried why price hikes but never why price slumps.

Looking at this BestWorld counter as a long term investment from a biz view point esp. its  mlm network model.. esp in greater China where it is expanding .. a matter of time before China  may  relax conditions on mlm cos.. just as Spore had legalised its rules on mlm companies since early 2000....

Have not used its products... any feedback?

And then continue holding till it drops back to .20?

Daiwa downgrades Best World International to Underperform from Outperform, cuts target price to $0.24 from $0.88. Notes 3Q08 results were weaker than house expectations, reckons direct marketing sales in living rooms across ASEAN may be "just as affected as high-street sales in London and New York." Lowers FY08, FY09 earnings forecasts by 19.5% and 31.9%, respectively. Says shares unlikely to outperform STI over next 6 months.

 

Surprise.... counter holding up very well in this big drop.
