Suck POEMS ACCOUNT and Service

Hi buddy, you're probly right. But I dun want to make it easy for them. They can call me first and I really want to demand an answer from them. Else they'll never take the initiative to call! Then I'll write in to MAS or SGX. Pretty much NOTHING else we can do.

Hi there, saw this forum title and thought it might be a good place to share my "views"... I gotta agree that the service of POEMS really sucks.... One big thing is the attitude of their remisiers.... There was once i forgot to pay up my position, and when they called up to "remind you", their tone and attitude were like Ah Longs and Ah Bengs.... damn crude and sacarstic... after that i stop using them and open an account with DBS Vickers... 

 Well, i guess we cant do much to this matter.... Perhaps just look out for other brokers bah? There are at least 4-5 others choices around... Thanks!

 

You can complain to SGX and let them take action. For what I know as a remisier always must give customer's order as first priority.

POEMS had done me wrong on to 2 occassions

1) When SembMar was tumbling last yr, POEMS was hang. Lucky I bought a few yrs at Sub 1$ that I won't mind. When I told the person i/c of 1 POEMS outlet, he asked whether I will let go so many lots at 1 time. My ans is why not, I will let go.

2)I bought a few lots of a stock using SRS, but could get thru the phone to that POEMS outlet until after 5 pm. Again i did not mind as i had the cash to pick up.

I will be applying for online trading from my other brokerage firms, cannot allow POEMS to cause financial losses due to their poor service.

If only other brokerage firms have outlets in various housing estates --- this will be more convenient if we want meet them physically to solve some unforseen problems.

 

Honestly, there are two things that I doubt most whenusing poems.

a.  sincerity and responsibility by the company to giving its customers a good deal.

b.  honesty and responsibility of the brokers (remisier or his asst) towards customers' financial interests.

They have been trying to improve over the years but it all went back to square one.  I reason it is not always the company's fault, but it could happen to be the representatives faults.  They can do wonders if you understand sacarsm.

Find a good broker else you will end up the loser and nobody else.  I lost a lot in placing too much trust before.  Now I am making up my mind to be very careful, not just with trading but with my finances.  Hope you don't get my meaning wrong.

mrt break down will also kana enquiry and fine...wonder why sgx nvr query abt their often break down 

 

somehow, i doubt whtr is it really technical issue or something else? we will nvr know whats behind it......

 

At first I used singapore broker, encounter full of server hang up. got piss off.

I closed  the accout and open up **** is much better but they also have hang up.

i have try few singapore broker also same issue. still piss off, what to do we are stuck.

i open up US account no hang up for many years of trading! thumbs UP! singapore broker need to improve their service to keep their clien. They did a survery with me and ask why I shift to US broker.

simple reason -low brokage. trading plateform is free. news is free. everything is free. no hang up! out standing! the bad part is you dont get to trade singapore stock with US broker. I told singapore broker you guys need to improve your service other wise you are loosing clients to US. ITs a FACT!!

I guess there's no perfect broker? dont make any big bets you should be profitable
