Used to be called Hai Sun Hup......run by Ow Cho Kiat (Chairman)
Split into Spore Ship (which also consists of Cougar Log) and Stamford Land amaybe 10 years ago.
In 2005, Spore Ship sold off all but 3 of their ships (retaining only the Ro Ro car carriers) at the peak of the container shipping business making record profits in the process.....declaring generous divvy for the past 2 years.
In 2006, Cougar Log was hived off from Spore Ship as a separated listed entity by issuing Spore Ship shareholders shares in Cougar Log.
2007 - Cougar Log unlocked shareholders value by selling off some parts of their business........generous divvy declared.
Mr. Ow has unlocked the value of Sp Ship and Cougar Log and paid generous divvy.
Perhaps Stamford Land is next???
Is it true that Sp Ship split the comps into Sp Ship, Stamford Land and Cougar. Can someone enlighten this ?
It's 1 of the best shares in the market though we wun rise much...In addition to the special interim dividend they are giving out now due to the fact that the company had too much cash in hand of 12 cents, they had already paid out dividends amting to 24 cents this yr...if this adds on, this must be the best stock you should buy!
