Agree..co has not issued any rights nor bonus issues for many many years..rather conservative..made good profits from selling Robinson and property at market street but never give to shareholders but plough back to operations.Hit high $1.32 on 25 Jul but close at $1.31...Ms Saw already asked shareholders not to sell at AGM...$2/ $3? possible,in its hey days > $4..alll very old shareholders can attest to that..Ms Saw previously at AGM went to claim how DFS and SMRT went from 70cts to hit $2.50 for SMRT..will she do it again...today B12 another report on her..:The shareholders who demanded blood and forgotten too quickly Ms Saw's role on growing the company" ..referring to SMRT..what is SMRT's loss is Auric 's gain

A SIZEABLE chunk of former SMRT chief executive Saw Phaik Hwa's share entitlement has been forfeited, the listed rail operator disclosed in its latest annual report.
Of the 100,000 performance share plan (PSP) shares SMRT granted to Ms Saw for financial year 2010, all were forfeited because the company's key performance indicators were not met. And of the 107,800 restricted share plan (RSP) shares granted to her, only 69,400 were actually awarded. The remaining 38,400 shares were not vested in time.
Ms Saw quit in January 2012. And because she resigned, all the 100,000 PSP and 100,000 RSP shares granted for FY2011 were forfeited. The 338,400 shares she did not receive would have been worth $490,680 at yesterday's closing price of $1.45.
SMRT did not disclose what happened to the allotment for FY2012, which would have been granted in August 2011 under normal circumstances.

Edge mag..Jul 1-7Shareholdes of Auric is likley to benefit from an acquisition of Food Junction-the latter could become Auric's earnings driver wrote Maybank analyst,Alison Fok,FJ are highly profitable, net margins averaged 17.6% in the last 5 years with a dip in FY 2012 from the closure of non-performing outlets and opening of a new food court on Sembawang.Following rationalisation and restructuring,Fok thinks Auric could see more growth.

As at end March,Auric had cash $62.3mil,representing more than one-third of its market capitalisation of $154mil,the acquisition could cost the company $12mil making hardly a dent in its cash pile of $62.3mil.In 1QFY2013,Auric generated $6.7mil in free cash flow,Ms Saw's cost cutting and pruning non-core businesses and strengthening the focus of the group, the 16.4% decline in Auric's administrative expenses against a 2% increase in revenue is encouraging.Auric is trading at just 9.9 times historical earnings and a discount of 34.7% to bookm value.Auric is 49.3% own by the Lippo Group

Hougang coffee shop sold for 23millions....auric buy all food junctions share by paying extra 6.5millions...what a great deal...fj dont owe the property but paying so little to get somethings big..great...maybe auric will buy more food court in the near future....
No wonder at the AGM in Mandarain Hotel, she asked us to hold..quote examples of her days at DFS and SMRT where the shares soar from a low base ,we should trust her foresight after all she also buying Auric Pacific

With the cost saving as a listed company ..food junction will become a profitable company..auric pay such a little for all stakes....welldone saw.....the pink lady..just invested
Auric Pacific - SawMagic Begins to Shine
Privatisation offer for Food Junction. Auric Pacific has offered to take Food Junction private for SGD0.255 per share, 40.11% above the last transacted price and 34.1% above 12-month VWAP. Excluding a one-off impairment charge and restaurant losses in FY12, this values food courts segment at an ex-cash PER of just 4.8x. Auric will only need to fork out a net sum of SGD6.5m to take the remainder of Food Junction private (38.55% stake). We view this deal as highly attractive, and are positive that CEO Saw Phaik Hwa is transforming Auric Pacific one step at a time.
Clean-up of Auric began in 2012. Auric fully disposed a non-core high-interest lending business in May 2013. In 2010, Auric had purchased a 60% stake in a mezzanine loan of a residential project in Hunan, China, where it expected to receive interest at the rate of 15% p.a.. When the borrower stopped servicing the loan in Mar 2012, Auric managed to claw back its initial book value of SGD20.8m, and the investment was fully disposed of. Meanwhile, a new CEO had been appointed to look after its food operations and Sunshine Bakeries following with the departure of the CEO of Delifrance. Cost-wise, we find the 16.4% YoY decline in Auric’s administrative expenses in 1Q13, against a revenue increase of 2% YoY, encouraging.
Food Junction could become Auric’s earnings driver. Food Junction’s food courts are highly profitable. Net margins averaged 17.6% in the last five years, with a dip in FY12 from the closure of nonperforming outlets and opening of a new food court at Sembawang. The restaurant business however never fully recovered from the financial crisis in 2009. Today, Auric has 5 food court brands and over 10 restaurant brands in its stable in Singapore, China, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Valuations are cheap given its potential. Auric is trading at a historical PER of 10.8x and EV/EBITDA of 11x. We think this is cheap as it does not factor in the potential growth prospects after a possible restructuring of the restaurant business, and possibly a rationalization of its various F& B brands to build up economies of scale.
