StarHub announced today that Neil Montefiore will retire as its CEO by end February 2013. Succeeding him as CEO is StarHub’s COO, Tan Tong Hai.Tan Tong Hai will become the CEO and Executive Director of StarHub in March 2013, subject to regulatory approval.
As StarHub's Chief Operating Officer, Tong Hai currently oversees the day-to-day operations of the company and has direct responsibility of the company's Consumer Business Group, Enterprise Business Group, Customer Service, Network Engineering & Information Services, Wholesale & International Services as well as Government & Strategic Affairs divisions.
Tong Hai is also currently the Deputy Chairman of Nanyang Polytechnic's Board of Governors. In addition, he serves as Chairman of its NYP Ventures Pte Ltd, and its School of Information Technology Advisory Committee
STARHUB posted a 5.1 per cent dip in net profit at S$87.9 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2012, after the market closed on Thursday. Revenue for the same period stood at S$654.1 million, up 6.8 per cent from the same period a year ago. For the full financial year, net profit grew 13.9 per cent to S$359.3 million, while revenue stood at S$2.42 billion, a 4.7 per cent increase. Earnings per share for the group stood at 5.12 Singapore cents for the quarter, down from 5.39 Singapore cents in the last quarter of 2011. For the year, earnings per share rose from 18.38 Singapore cents to 20.93 Singapore cents. The group declared a dividend of 5 Singapore cents a share.

Result is out and the company intends to maintain the annual cash dividend payout of 20 cents per ordinary share for 2013.
Will starhub increase dividends?
Results coming on 7 Feb.
Hope to maintain 20 cents dividend.   
Starting to move towards $4 again!

Hit $3.92 all time high.   So easy with low volume, damn easy money. FAT dividend cum appreciated so much. Better than buying property. 
But just be careful with the FAT carrot trap.

Wow, Ron, you are spot on! Starhub gapped down at opening today, and no buying pressure. I guess most people understand that the greater the demand for smart phones and the new iphone, the bigger  the cost of subsidies the telcos have to bear, so, the new iphone craze is actually not  helping the bottomline in the near term. And for soccer fans, we are awaiting  results of the EPL bidding, and how much singtel and starhub have to pay for the broadcast rights.

Now you can watch NAT GEO, SKY NEWS etc on mio tv. It might impact Starhub.
