This always happen when market is punch down, high volumes sell down, they cannot coop......
System down, ppls panic cannot use their PCs to sell will have to go thru broker to any how dump....
Some brokers very black hearted, they will use the psy. effect to ask you dump even lower.....they might be the one who pick up your stocks........
So broker firm will act will bank......SUNNY DAY GIVE YOU UMBRELLA........

Agree with all of you!! Everyday when we trade, its just like goin into a lion's cage to feed the lions. Today, we did the same and oops the 'zookeeper' suddenly tells you that he has lost his keys to open your cage and goosh he went missing thereafter. You called the 'zoo management' and all they can tell you is to be patient as their elite team are currently searching for the extra keys to open your cage. Is up to you to believe them and not to forget that the lions are watching you all the time. Is either we survive or be dead in the end of the day..Good luck to all bros and sis..

Any website for Lim & Tan ? I m sick of POEMS services.
Me too, really FRUSTRATED with POEMS. Not the first time. They got the cheek to seek out more investors in their ROADSHOW and yet never upgrade their system to cope with the load. I already switched from UOBKAYHIAN bcos they put too many stops on so many counters. It is time to switch to LimTan and others. Hope with so many frustrated investors switching they will put more earned money to upgrade their system. Though POEMS is good but it is days like this that their system must stand up to the TEST. At this time it is still unable to log in. Even the HOTLINE is not even manned. Any one has email addresss of its BOSS?

i kept poems becoz of my broker past services if not i close long ago..

next thing i wanna ask is, does lim & tan has a margin counter list. it seem they only have unmarginable list, thus i assume i can do margin trade with all except those counters?
think wil take a look at lim & tan . had enough of Poems.. wants i clear my margin wil switch to others. it is damn irrartating to unable to login when u needed it the most..

Although Poems have this problem sometimes, I still think they do a much better job than other brokers.
Agreed ! Poems managment need to look in this problem.
yup agree a bit pissed off with the system being down. Previously I was doing futures using poems as well, and a few times, they had technical problems when there were major movement in the markets - and i ended up on the loosing end for quite a no. of times. And during those period, calling your trading rep no. - might not b very easy, as everyone is calling as well.
think they need really upgrade the system or test it properly (assuming they used yesterday's holiday as a time to do some upgrade to the system/software.) before market starts.
In the meantime - for today, for those using poems, u can use the mobile login on the same poems intenet page - (but u need to know ur telebroker/mobile pin) and monitor the stocks using ur watchlist etc. and you can still trade. Just that we are at a lost of information, like market depth, intranet chart etc - so need to relay on other websites.
I using POEMS, LIM & Tan and Frasers.
Lim Tan the best of the three. Some more have link points, redemption still earn 50% of the points obtain from earlier points earn from trade.
should waive all charges... since the service not to standard.
wonder if there is any compliance that MAS laid for all Internet trading system... eg. how many hours downtime before fine....
think Internet banking have something to follow from MAS...

Everytime volume a bit more heavy only their system cannot cope. They should change their system or IT guy or client should change them if no action taken.
It is time for POEMS to carry out a thorough investigation and do some house cleaning. Seems that its system always gets hijack whenever it is most needed. It happens too often to be of coincidence....
It is not the first time POEMS has problem. How come the problem never be solved! Still claim that it is the most popular web-site. All shares stuck now, cannot buy or sell. Really angry!
Plan to switch to another broker, any suggestion which one is the best?
