SINGAPORE (Reuters) - A building boom in Singapore has helped turn property tycoon Ng Teng Fong into the city-state's richest man, Forbes Asia said on Thursday.
Ng, who controls Far East Organization in Singapore and Sino Land in Hong Kong, overtook the family of late hotelier Khoo Teck Puat.
His hotel and mall holdings in Singapore and Hong Kong boosted his wealth to $6.7 billion from $4.9 billion last year, the magazine said.
Ng, 79, has son Robert oversee the family's Hong Kong interests while another son, Philip, manages Singapore operations. He came 118 in Forbes' most recent list of the world's billionaires.
why this Orchard has been dropping so fast !! from 2.92 to today ~1.72, almost close to 50% correction , cccccccc chow
Seems that the party is still going on. Hope to see it crosses $3 2morrow.
ha..ha...ha... today high 2.92.
I think base on the property market of Golden pile of lands in Shenten way and Orchard rd, the re-evaluation of the land it sit on, the price should be above S$3. The chances for it to go above it is very lightly. Can anyone comment ? Thks and good luck.
