Hmmm....

It is apparent to me that our iPunter dislikes Singaporegal for some reason.

overdone not nice. i prefer medium done or medium rare.

nevertheless, i keep my finger cross. was expecting DOW to hold the 150sma however yest, it spike down 70+ pts, more than expected. even thou it is way way oversold. even last year may dip also not as oversold as this time.

This is particularly important because a newbie will buy when an uptrend is suggested and sell off when a downtrend is suggested, possibly even treating it as 'gospel'.

Jackjames was bearish on certain counters, so he made calls for shorting.

Actually, it is not much different if one say, after some personal study/analysis, commented that certain stocks are "on an uptrend" or "on a downtrend", as I have seen Singaporegal doing in this forum.

Now I wonder how many people made money or lost money following her comments. If I am a newbie (actually, even the veterans), I would very likely have just bought or sold based on those comments she made, since after all they came from someone who posted in the forum as a 'Master', or 'Elite' and presumably an experienced trader.

nickyng: u are looking at the user persepective and not at the IT server backend. At the backend server, it is receiving requests from tons and tons of request send by you users and they can number in the thousands. Therefore once the requests get huge server unable to handle is the norm.

Imagine you are the server and you have to serve so many customers at any one time and you will get the picture on why even a computer cannot be as fast as a single user manual click.

anyone got burned shorting today? no right? so, i am not the one who blamed to short la... because comfortdelgo did go down to 1.82, heee... but DBS 20.60 ...

finally, the broker called me, she said, because i withdrawn DBS sell down at 21.10 at 9 am (because the open price is 20.70), therefore, i quickly withdrawn and click sell down at 20.70, I do it so fast that, it all happen within 1 minutes time, the POEM server still thinking that I am holding sell down at 21.10 , (even though it is withdrawn), thefore, she told me, if I do sell down next time, it's no problem liao..

so, case closed.

jack james,

i know that u did short but than u posted on so many forum threads to tell ppl to short.. i really pity some forumers who follow ur order blindly.. so next time... post within ur limit ok? know that what u post may result in many ppl losing money..

nevertheless, the market may end lower so i keep my finger cross..

Jackjames, 50,000 is the limit you are given, but it changes daily depending on whether you have any outstanding payments etc. You can check your current limit by clicking on the counter you wish to buy, then at the buy/sell page, you will be able to see your current limit. This is applicable to POEMS.
