beware.. past data has showned that this stock move around aug to peak end of the year. Likely reasons are more shipping contracts tends to be sealed at that period.. Currently oil prices are hovering around 60 for it to move back unless STI move a record 3400 or oil prices rise pushing demand for oil rig exploration.

It has broken down several-times tested support at $1.80 despite sparkling set of FY06 results.

maybe all the good news has oredi been factored into the share price.  The 50 and 100-day moving averages have turned down . The immediate downmove may have been stopped by a rising 200-day moving average at $1.65.  Although quarterly momentum has fallen into negative territory,  a temporary rebound is likely in light of oversold short-term indicators.  Resis:  $1.88

labmar's petering out. Frantic activity peaked on 5th feb, thereafter slow decline. vols dropping, lead indicators are dropping slowly: A/D dropped for 3 consecutive days, c/o for 2.. price likely to follow down or stagnate til week of 4Q results on 28th.

To all TA gurus,

Any chance Labroy will break out of its 1.97-1.98 resistance this week?

Singaporeregal - thanks for being "selfless" in your TA interpretation.  Time shd show that you're right.

Downtrend reason must be applied using TA and FA on the TA view.. downtrend is correct but due to funds being attracted to other higher yield counters over the last few months especially construction and properties. Expect a uptrend base on funds being pull out from those profited counters into marine related counters when crude oil increase above USD60.

Hi zhangyin,

This stock has been in a slow downtrend for the past few months. The TA charts do not yet show a trend reversal. Wait for a while to see what happens.

Today, it touched 1.78, which is very obviously below an intermediate support level. Thus technically, one would expect the price too weaken based on this break through.

hippoo,

If you read my FA, I think this stock is fully valued at this price.......unless they can
  1. increase their capacity constraints or
  2. there is an uptrend in their shipping business. However, even when this happens, the benefits may take some time to filter down as many of their vessels are on long term charter.

What I meant in my post of 6 Dec is, you my want to do a quick punt on this counter to capitalise on a possible news of new order - which may or may not happen. i.e buy on dips and sell on news.

Thanks shplayer for your FA analysis. I agree with you. Usually this stock will move upwards when there is new rig orders. Maybe is about time they should annouce.(speculating). Probably will buy some and keep. Cheers

Further to my FA post on Labroy yesterday and the TA charts interpretation, there may be a possibility for Co. to make announcement of new rig orders during the OSEA (Offshore SEA) show that is currently on..?

Just a speculative guess....
