Yes....nice mix of coy. Personally have vested in Rosy and do some trading on Yoma since Yoma is the best proxy to investment in Myanmar. For Rosy.....I have great confident since its the best proxy to the Iskandar story and powerful backers.

This is a short excerpt taken from forummer Peter_Pans post which I think useful as an example of what it means to hold and long stocks instead of playing contra..

Foolish Bottom Line

Stock market prices can fluctuate irrationally and often wildly. That means to say that prices can keep rising even when the underlying businesses have poor fundamentals. If that?s the case, then don?t be surprised when the bottom falls out one day.

On the other hand, prices can collapse despite strong fundamentals. That?s when investors need to exercise discipline and not give into fear. A purchase during times of irrational distress can even set the stage for spectacular returns in the future.

Ultimately, investors have to recognise that business fundamentals are the main drivers of long-term shareholder returns. In the long run, it?s the businesses that matters.

lol.. my fren ask me what it means to be shopping and after sharing , I tot its good to share here too..

in the Stk market.. you must shop like a woman and buy like a guy.

ppl knows.. woman are good at bargainning.. and like to compare in details things..

but they can talk all they want but they become indecisive in buying.. that's where the guy comes in.

if u understand good for you.. if you don't nvm ..(" ,) lol.

before i gtg, remember when longing and holding stocks you long

1) Play what you can afford to lose. meaning to say if you invested 20k, make sure you can afford to lose that 20k (if suspension or coy go bankrupt ..)

2) Put take profit limit. stop loss is impt to minimize your capital loss but usally in a crashed you will have already lost almost everything.

take profit is impt to stop you from being too greedy.

3) Never, ever fall in love with the stock that you long.. ppl usually thinks when they see px go higher and higher..  wah no need to take profit.. love the stock..buy more ...

then  when it falls big time or suspend they will  start to  curse and swear.

some forummers have disappeared  today  due to their vested counters such as blumont, asiasons and liongold.. I hope they have gotten out liao..cause today is the big example of loving a counter.

Thanks Medivh for your advice. Yes its depression to look at yongnam's movement lately. Perhaps i should close my eyes on this yongnam since we are investing long term.. )

medivh      ( Date: 04-Oct-2013 15:44) Posted:

Both are pretty safe..

however I don't really go for yongnam.. a defensive stock without big risk to gap  down side but earning profit from this yong nam pretty slow.. sometimes it stalls for quite a long while if u know what i mean.

Hi Medivh. I have some of the counters you mentioned. can you also advice on yongnam and otto Marine. Are they for long term investment? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,

I am posting a new thread to share counters that you can hold with potential upside.

This is not for contra players.. rather for those who are in position comfortable enough to hold.

One important rule I want to state about holding is

DO NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH THE STOCK! (or any stock in particular)
