Hi beginners,

if you buy the " nil-paid" rights share from the market (eg you bought 100 lots x 0.004) you need to exercise this 100 lots " nil-paid" rights latest on 26th July 2013 (5.00pm. if pay through ATM will be 9.30pm) by paying another 0.015 x 100 lots (i.e all together your pay out will be 0.004 + 0.015 x 100 lots = S$1,900) before it can convert to mother share.

payment work out

1) 0.004 x 100 lots = S$400

+ brokerage fees S$26.75

+ clearing fees from SGX = 0.21cents

2) 0.015 x 100 lots = S$1,500

+ S$2.00 (if you make your payment through the ATM)

overall pay out =S$1,928.96 for 100 lots

**the above mentioned is for those who do not entitle to the rights share and they want to buy it from the market and convert to mother share later on.

For those who already entitled to the rights share (cos they bought it before XD) they just need to pay the 0.015 (latest by 26th July 2013) to convert this rights share to mother share will do.

Hi bro, thks for pointing out:). What I mean is since the offer price of the rights is 0.015. But now the open market is 0.004. If want to buy the rights it would be cheaper to buy at 0.004 in open market

Not sure wot you mean but you will have to do your own risk assessment on whether the Singhaiyi's mother share will rise beyond 0.021  when deciding to purchase the rights to convert [  eg offered  price 0.015 add rights price  0.006  equals 0.021.] Don't forget to factor in commission charges.

Unfortunately Singhaiyi is floundering now. Hoping for BB's support.

Hi bro, thks alot for your explaination. If the price of rights in open market is less then what we have to buy( ie 0.015 vs 0.006). Then can I say that it's better to buy the rights in open market then later convert to mother share? Or is there any other things that wee need to aware of for buy rights at open market? Thks . This is my first time due with rights.

Today is commencement of trading of nill paid right share. Nill paid mean right share haven't convert to mother share. Nill paid right share price is usually (for singhaiyi case is 0.021-0.015=0.006. u will see singhaiyi-r open at 0.006 today. If u sell nill paid share then u r not entitle to pay 0.015 to convert to mother share.
