I bought 30 lots (CR)  @ $0.44 on 29 May and sold 30 lots (XR) @$0.385 today. I am entitled to 24 lots of rights shares, right?
Yes to the dilution possibility but it can also go other way as is happening now. So if you bought at pre-close last night, and then the price go ups to 0.41 and you sell, essentially you would have gotten the rights at 0.24 when the fair value is 0.33. But that's already out-dated as the share price is now hitting 0.39, which may mean it will liekly go higher than 0.41.
Good profit for those who sold at Tuesday 0.46 and buy back the next day 0.41.

Today opening prices trade of at 0.335 cts, now speculating / trading at 0.375, for a four cts gain.

At yesterday ckised price $0.410x5=$2050  + (0.240x4=$960) $960/9lots=0.334.45 cts per LOT.

If bot it yesterday, can subscribe, today cannot liao.
X Right  mean - x date the right  liao. No more to subscribe...that Y price fall.
If I sell my shares today I will I still have the rights? I called SCB today and they said they will only start recording at 4 june so if I don't hold on to my shares till then I would have forfeited my rights. But what i read about XR is different, if i sell won't i still have the rights? So which is which?
You can pay to buy through ATM, or call your broker,
oh... so if i have 15lots before XR, i can buy 12lots at 0.24 per share? hmmm.. when or where can i find the option to exercise this?
sounds like an ok deal, no? am i missing smthing here? if thats the case, shouldnt the share price drop more than what it did today?
You buy 5 shares before XR and then you are entitled to buy 4 shares at 0.24
can someone explain to me how this rights issue works?
does 4 for 5 @ 0.24 means for every 4shares i have, its converted to 5 shares thats valued at 0.24?
haha paiseh... newbie.. =/
:)
You are quite a fast learner.

Hi, an additional thought, since the rights dilute the shares value, the  true value should be lower than the calcualted,  a better entry point should be lower than 0.33 in theory,
thanks a lot, Guava Master, I am keeping a close eye on Yoma because risktaker mentioned it,
Hi Viromics.
I use simple method of counting how much the rights will cost you to pick up plus the cost of your holdings of the shares at the end of last night.  So at 0.41 x 5 shares, you can buy  at  0.24 x 4 rights. Add them together and divide by 9 (the rights become shares after converting). Think this should be correct.

Hi, Guava Master, kindly enlighten me how you calculate the value, rights at 0.24,  when it converts to shares, how much does it cost?
Went Ex-Rights today. At yesterday's close of 0.41, fair value today should be 0.337 (4 for 5 rights at 0.24). Anything above is a plus for purchase at 0.41.
