can someone stop this counter? it is shooting way too fast for just a day... very tempted to contra this..
2.60 !!! fainted...
moogee, you cut loss very fast huh...
At least you made some angpow money. I threw off at a loss, thought it was going down so cut lost at 2.410 yesterday, bought 2.440...*sigh*..but not much..lost $101.
there are couples more 100++ lots buy up at 2.53, 2.54, and even 2.55, WA!!! this counter going no where? hmm..
as expected 2.52 now... haiih.. throw too fast...
wow, 1 transaction 132 lots buy up at 2.49, amazing, this counter is going up for today.
I think this counter will rise again, but then, many people are profit taking now before chinese new year, so, no choice, have to let go first and go in again later... Now, my eyes is at Luzhou now.
Jackjames nice angpow for CNY.cheers :-)
sell 8 lots at 2.48 (bought at 2.34)..
will enter again while it drops below 2.38... by the way, recent 3 days trend of this counter is... it will always go up high when the market open, and keep dropping at the end of the day, that's the trend for this counter this week I observe. Cheers~
Caution on Hyflux.... trend could be reversing downwards
no matter what , we are at the same boat what... hee..
hey shplayer, thanks for your words yah. good enough, no drinks needed. :)
nah, didn't lose much. my broker stopped loss for me at 4.16 this morning aft watching trade. so only -2c. I try to keep losses in the hundreds only.
hm yea, thanks for the tip, will check it out. :)
elf,
SPC down about 31% of 52 week high.
Look @ SembCorp Ind.....about 12% off 52 wk high.
Aiyah, don't get too worked up over other's comments(jackjames).....this is friendly blog.....each entitled to their opinions.......some, perhaps do not put it forward too subtley.
Lost $$ on SPC today?.....no sweat lah, buy you a round of drinks for the effort you put it.
jackjames, tell me abt it. was out of the country when it moved to that range and subsequently dropped. that's why right now i divest all holdings if i'm going to be out of the country for a long time.
bloody bad tactical move--or more precisely--non-move on my part. It ain't funny man, and your flippant humor is totally not appreciated.
on FA basis, there are practically no counters that you'd buy now. almost all near 52 week high alr. Except spc.
singaporegal. FA basket: via fundamentals; TA via trends even if you know mgmt not totally A class. Sometimes, but only rarely, on insider tips.
admittedly sometimes they cross, esp when you want to buy/sell your FA stocks. but basically, TA stocks short term, watch closely; FA stocks drop in and looksee them once in a week or so.
there's no clear line, really.
Hey elf,
One question.. how do you manage to seperate the stocks into the FA basket and the TA basket? Won't the trading philosophies get a little jumbled?

Jackjames... you have such a wonderful sense of humour... hehe... :)
I would not hold this counter for such a long time especially it was 4, 5 dollars.. you don't even sell it ? wow.. amazing.. then, you should buy many counters now because its worth to hold for more than 2 years (as u did for this counter, hee...)... good choice.
...btw, in case anyone saw 'elf: vested' and are jumping in: lemme clarify that i bought hyflux at 1.65 long long lonnngggg time ago, before their share split. so yeah, pls don't just read mine (or anyone else's post) and just jump in.

hm...must state clearly next time...*dangerous*
hey singaporegal, i meant trading positions--ie, short term TA picks.
FA stocks still holding some--these are long term ones (3, 5 yrs, mebbe longer), so i'm not really bothered by whatever their current prices are, esp the divvy plays and reits--if go down, i just buy more. the aim of these is simply to beat the POSB interest rate.
I actually divide up my portfolio into TA (or short term) vs FA (long term) stocks. So when i buy a counter, i know clearly whether i'm in it for short term gains or long term holdings. it's to diversify risk, basically. do wish i could be like you tho, but hehe, my TA isn't that good yet, so no sense taking unnecessary risks. :)
Hyflux said on Tuesday that it plans to sell part of its interest in its desalination plant SingSpring to a business trust backed by Temasek Holdings.
Hyflux said in a statement that the assets of SingSpring -- the first seawater desalination plant in Singapore, which has been operational since end-2005 -- will be put into a trust.
Hyflux and CitySpring Infrastructure Trust will be the owners of the SingSpring Trust. The restructuring is subject to the listing of CitySpring taking place, Hyflux said.CitySpring is a business infrastructure trust which is being sponsored by Holdings to be listed on the Singapore Exchange.
Morgan Stanley and DBS Bank are advising CitySpring, which is expected to file its prospectus.
Hyflux CEO Olivia Lum said in December that the firm was planning a restructuring to spin off its desalination plant SingSpring into a business trust. After the exercise, Hyflux would hold about 30% of the units in the SingSpring Trust.
