10 more days for the submissions, and in about a month's time, everyone will be anticipating which brands and models of mobile devices being offered in Myanmar --> great business opportunities for mDR! You're talking about millions of mobile devices to be sold annually. Do you maths. Huat-ah!

> Bids must be submitted by June 3, and the winners will be announced by June 27.

The clock is counting down - anticipation for the final push! 2 new telcomms licenses will be issued soon, and with it, a HIGH demand for mobile devices, which will certainly be helpful to the bottomline of mDR. DYODD.

The chances of winning the contract to operate the telecomms licence is 12 (twelve).

  http://www.mcpt.gov.mm/sites/default/files/press_release_-_announcement_of_pre-qualified_applicants.pdf

And the chances of selling millions of handsets in Myanmar remains VERY HIGH!

So bet on the SURE WIN horse. Lol. DYODD.

What's the chances of Singtel, Starhub or the Soros-linked group winning the contract to operate the  telecommunications licence in Myanmar?

Ans:   1 in 22

What's the chances of selling many millions of handsets in Myanmar, in partnership with a respectable company there?

Ans: Very high chance.

So, bet on the SURE WIN horse! Lol. DYODD!

This should be GOOD NEWS, because the consultants have confidence in the Company, and willing to accept shares in lieu of $$$, like employee share option scheme. Likewise, investors buy into a company, paying $$$ for shares because they have confidence and faith in the Company. $$$ is stagnant (fixed), while the returns on shares could be multi-fold. Smart move indeed. DYODD.

Mdr is cheapening its own share value by issuing shares instead of just paying. Im getting kinda pissed off. On top of it which two projects have been aborted

Something interesting might be cropping up - check out the latest corporate announcement.

Quote: The Company will make the necessary announcements in a timely manner if the remaining transactions progress.

Could it be strategic partners from Myanmar? Your guess is just as good as mine. DYODD. Caveat Emptor.

I strongly believe they are already in either thru Singtel or the other 2 license which will be allocated to local company like Myanmar Telecom.

I am more looking forward to what handphone manufacturer they will get contract with...it would be a bigger piece of the market then just working with single teleco.

singtel is partnering a Myanmar Telco company. chances are damn high. smart move. mdr setting up shop already. its very obvious.
