Maintain Outperform, raised target price from S$1.50 to S$2.10, based on 14x CY11 P/E. Recent industry data showed that global new vessel orders have remained steady since 3Q09, suggesting that the worst for shipbuilding sector is over. We believe YZJ's have secured pockets of contracts progressively in 1Q10, especially from small-mid sized Chinese shipping companies. We are raising our order win assumptions for YZJ from US$1.2bn to US$1.6bn in total for 2010-2011, or about 20 new vessels p.a. Accordingly our earnings estimates have been raised by 9-12% for FY10-12. Everything looks rosy on COSCO but Yangzijing is better pick in my opinion. Lesser risk!

New Century Shipbuilding to revive S'pore IPO-sources

SINGAPORE, April 12 - China's New Century Shipbuilding Co may raise $500 million to $700 million in an initial public offering in Singapore, sources said on Monday, reviving an IPO that it had initially planned for 2008.
Morgan Stanley <MS.N> and UBS <UBSN.VX> are handling the deal, one of the sources said, adding the firm will be doing a roadshow in the next two weeks with pricing for the deal expected in May.
New Century tried to list in 2008 and had roped in Goldman Sachs <GS.N> and UBS to do the deal, but volatile markets and the collapse of Lehman Brothers delayed those plans, sources said.
The sources declined to be identified because the deal has not been made public.
Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs declined to comment and UBS was not available to comment.
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding <YAZG.SI>, which has a market value of $3.3 billion, is China's other large shipbuilder already listed in Singapore. [ID:nSGC003559]
Yangzijiang said on Monday it has made no decision to seek a dual listing in Hong Kong though a number of investment banks and financial advisors have approached the company with proposals.

Cruising UP with Cosco....
Talking n talking of Yangzijiang potential dual listing in Hong Kong or Taiwan, and still talking after so many months. Nothing happen! But already paper gain appr 30% already this year if i am not wrong. Suppect this tactic or trend will go on expecting correction to happen painfully soon.

The current play in the chinese shipping counters are paving ways for listing of New Century Shipping which is 60% larger than YZJ...
