You must be grinning widely (just  like Victorian)  since SPC  and STE are both doing very well.   Hmmm, since so many of you (especially idea168)  have so much confidence in this counter, I shall continue to hold to see it past the last high of $6.05. Hopefully, it will follow SGX  shooting all the way up.... However, I doubt I can resist taking profit for too long :)

SPC is working pretty hard this week. Looks like today is another 5-10 cents up.

Not too sure how many of you remember my 5,6,7 dollar prediction. In May, SPC manage to hit 5+. Now we are in June and it is approaching 6 before June ends.

I am still holding on to my SPC and STE.I ahve said a while ago that my computation of fair value will be $6 for SPC and S$3.66 for STE.

Well STE is there and SPC is no far off.

Ideas168, SPC should be worth beyond $6 for this year. High refining margin meant that 1H07 result is very likely to exceed 1H06 and 1H05. Yesterday's news is positive for SPC as it shows the inability/unwillingness for US refineries to sustain higher refining capacity and thus points to a longer term high refining. Thus we are not likely to see SPC having to report writedown for Q2 and Q3.

FYI Chevron has admitted that they make more money when they produce less!

PE based on 2006 is 10.426 times. Rolling PE is at 9.024 times (last 4 quarters). The coming 2nd quarter better be good if not all die standing. But I do believe that we all (+the mkt) have faith in SPC that 2nd quarter will be better than the first. I am holding my stand that it will be at the range of 27¢-28¢. That will bring the rolling PE back to 8X (8.786). Lets all pray to Ti Kong....$6 come quick quick!

 

Great news!

US bond yield down and gasoline surge due to ZERO gasoline built up for this week. This is significantly below analyst expectation. 

SPC sure to go up again tomorrow. My estimate is 10-20 (5.75-5.85) cents up. We may see 5.90.
