Hahaha... wide spreads are common during very active periods. This could be due to the the broker's software setting to cater for wider frenzied volatility swings during such periods.
Even market orders are usually be filled with a big slippage from the price seen when you click... 
By the way why not do a live small mini account rather than a demo account as soon as you know the trading mechanics?
A demo account is good to play but may not give you much realism in terms of money management.

I of course agree with you on that!... :)
But currency play (Forex) is particularly dangerous as an investment medium as compared with
stocks of good companies.
Companies also pay dividends and one can also 'ta pau' after the makan at their AGM's.
Currency play is mainly speculation driven...
... or hatching/negotiating a massive plot behind closed doors ....hahaha !
interesting ... UJ for the past 4 hours or so has been flat ....
wonder what is the significance of this ... that everyone is very badly wounded .. or paralyzed to make a move ....?

IMHO, all types of markets are crocodile ponds, traders just have to know what they are doing.
Stepping into the currency market is like stepping into a crocodile pond...
One has to be extremely cautious of the corcodiles' quick-snapping jaws with their built-in strong leverage at the pivots of their mouths... they can be extremely snappy and hurting...
And a very tight stoploss is not the antidote... hehehe...
Forex is a game which needs one to play well...
Not how much news and stuff one knows...
Once again, it's really great to see da-jie doing the currency market... hehehe...

Lately I find uploading images to www.freeimagehosting.net difficult. Most of time I get "Network Error". I can't access my account and I can't upload images from the home page either.
I think I am going to dump freeimagehosting and stick to photobucket .
