Extremely large trading volumes in the last few days. Also take some time to study the price action. This counter closed nearer the high of the day than the low. I believe some BBs are doing bottom fishing.... 

 

I think I prefer 68, which my nick tells all. So $8.68 or $7.68 will be good entry and let go at $16.88...lol!...elf, 9908 associates with your birthday - 9th September 2008? You should be swimming now!

 

Hope SGX will dip to 8.88, a nice figure for All of us. Next Mon, SGX will dip once market opens, up to u to gauge whether to buy in and later con it for good.Last done was 9.55, good by near 9.00 next Mon, AK  view only.

tie up those itchy fingers lah....the small amt you scalp each day is really not worth the risk you're taking--the risk/reward ratio is disproportionate already...unless you have the tools and 24/7 time for intraday scalp, otherwise, it may really be much better to go long term in this volatility...

you can make money for red packets by simply not buying too....

by my count we're actually on 5th wave for dow already...and macros seem to concur...but i'm a newbie to wave theory, so i could very well be wrong..

 

coming to the topic of SGX hitting a nice figure of $8.88 on 17-01-2008...

can anyone recall the STI closed at (oso very nice figure) 1888.88 on 11-05-1999?  .......  seasoned traders know that it is very very difficult (not impossible though) to come close to such a nice figure...  (well, it's up to you to catch wat i'm implying...)

another set of nice figures was the STI closing at 1777.77 on 14-03-2002....

well, watever it is, the most important of all, hope that everyone will make some money...  chinese new year coming....  need money for red packets....

Look like the red sea syndrome is a pandemic for the share market and everyone of us is either suffering from panic attack or itchy finger syndrome.

Sentiment is still negative even after Bush stimulus plan....

Dow ended in the red of 59 points nearing the 12,000 support level and killing / wipe out  the initial early advancement of  approximately 180 points.

So much for the positive expectation...more to come...

huatah, good call! and yep, with this volatility, profit is better than loss. in this market, a lot of ppl are dying; that you can make some kopi money everyday, that's wonderful already. lol.

mike, i perceive you have raffles medical shares. haha. in any case, the market happens to be the least of my worries.  am only in cash, gold, got some ke (missed the 1.77 *wail!*). but more than 50% liquid, excluding margin; so a very healthy position to be in for this market. will just take my time. *elfie on the hunt*

arbitrarily, i'd say they'd run this baby to at least 9.6 (may not be today). but if it's me, i'd choose to run at 9.52 or thereabouts. a profit is a profit. no sense being greedy. follow the consistent large lots movement.
