I was there also.. of the 3, i think only rickmers ceo did point out their risk and refinance of their 4 vessel. As he mention, the worst is that they give up their vessel if they are not able to finance it.. not much of a problem i guess.

FSL, i tink with no acquistion plan in near future n refinancing of debt, also wont post much problem.. much of it depends on their counterparties on timely payment.

PST, im abit impressed by their business model. Without expansion, they said say they are still able to increase their DPU.. but i have some reserve for it.

For shipping trust, i think, still much depend on how the shipping industry progress. There is of cos bad and good abt these trust. Much so also depend on your entry px.. same like stocks. just that these give a more forseeable div per quarter. ;)

I went to the seminar at Suntec yesterday. I want to ask a question, but i hold back just incase it is offensive and the people, CEO, CFO look so innocent, dont want to make them feel bad.

The question I want to ask is,"Ok, you say so good and so good, what are the bad thing you didint tell the people? There are bound to have bad thing, right? tell us?

Real estate agent , insurance aghent, car salesman, anyone who want to sell, will only say good thing abt what they want to sell, never the bad ones, so we got to ask them this question of what is the bad point.

want to buy something always ask the bad point first, for we most likely knew the good ones already, that is why we intend to buy in the first place , right?

this is the same with stock, know the bad ones, if the bad ones is not so bad then buy, if it is real bad, then even with 90% good one also better dont buy.

you know, it just take one big bad one to sink the ship. JMO

* FSLT: Its CFO highlighted that it had no vessel acquisition that didn’t have financing in place. The trust has guided for a 2.45 US cent payout for Q2, unchanged from Q1 but lower than the 3.08 US ¢ in 4Q FY08 which was based on a 100% payout ratio. The savings are for voluntary paying down of some loans.

The BEST WAY to assess your Counter is to WRITE IN to the Company's MANAGEMENT and get the DIRECT ANSWER from "The HORSE"!

It canNOT be WRONG.

Of Course, it must be BEFORE you BUY IN or SELL OUT.

Amongst the three, the Financial Risk Ranking is in REVERSE.

With all the news in the newspapers and analysts reports, PST has no Charter Contract WORRY RISK.

QUOTE:

Thank you for your interest in PST.

PST's fleet of 12 vessels are on fixed long-term charters averaging 8 years to PIL (2nd largest in Singapore and 19th globally) and CSAV (16th largest globally and the largest South American operator).  Both are well established and reputable liner companies. The revenue stream from these charters are fixed and on a long-term basis with the earliest charter expiration in the 3rd quarter of 2013.

PST seeks to maintain a cashflow stream to unitholders that is non-volatile, sustainable and visible to investors. We also wish to refer you to our announcement dated 16th April 2009.

Those who bought during 0.4 and below will yield a return of more than 40%. Now still not too bad at 20%++.. When economy recovers fully. I think yield will be less than 10% based on the buy in price in future. And I believe still got ppl will buy in.

Risk will be the business model, usually very high gearing, so if economy get worst, refinancing will be an issue.
